this just came in the mail for me. The left leg instantly snapped off along with the knee pad, silver foot piece and tripod when I went to transform it. Have never been more disappointed in a figure.
True to that. This figure seems to do a fair enough job of not parts forming. The side panels could have been engineered to stay on and simply have the weapon system be parts forming similar to most TFs. I see this being an opportunity to build off of the animated line by third parties that missed a chance to step up to another level and meet that perfect transformation.
great review! I think you're the first reviewer to mention the dismantled sniper rifle becoming arm guards/mounted guns. That was something I'd thought it looked like it could do, but hadn't seen anyone try so glad to know it is possible!
Seems top heavy, yes. But due to the die cast metal plates on both sides of her legs, you'd have to be really leaning her back or not have her feet opened up fully before she'll topple backward. That and the wings do a surprisingly good job of keeping out of the way.
I really REALLY want to get this rendition of her. I haven't decided on a color yet. Probably the pink, that way she could be my Elita (hot pink) to go with Arcee (soft pink). I got the G1 homage that iGear sells, from a guy on eBay not that long ago. I was really surprised that so many people just full on HATED that figure. She was nice. Size, weight (dicast), feel, and look of her to me was awesome. And SO Poseable... She looks incredible posed with Defender (my Springer).
all of the Prime figures are extremely hard to get. Unless you want like 40 Wheeljack's, 20 Optimus Prime's, and like 6000 BumbleBee's. I got lucky and found RC early when that wave was trickled out to stores. But sadly mine has 2 left arms. Its not that big a deal because her huge rifle covers the backwards hand. That and I have the 1st edition one as well. Two of my friends have become frustrated at not getting most of the figures when they hit the store, and BOTH are about to sell items.
did you ever check out the G1 looking Arcee? I took a chance at that figure after so many different companies made their own molds, and there were so many poor reviews. But the Delicate Warrior that iGear sells is great. A decent size, (as tall as Warbot D.) and has dicast parts. She is very girly and poseable as hell. And the best part is, nothing has to come off to transform her except to place her pistols in her hands if you want.
While on the topic of Arcee: Is it just me or are Arcee and Vehicon (both from the Prime RID line) rather hard to get? I've checked several stores over here in Europe, as well as some online retailers, and I really have trouble getting these.
she seems top- heavy... I wouldn't have minded hip holsters for some of the weapons... the back pack looks like making her pose with all her bits will be a chore
- I know this is off-topic, but wouldn't it be cool if for some figures you could remove bulky backpacks all-together? And when you want to transform it back to vehicle mode, just reattach it? I'm sure people have found ways to do it, but I'm wondering if it would be viable for Hasbro/Takara to actually incorporate an easy way to do something like that into figures?
would you recommend me to get the Motobot or the reflector camera team? really want an arcee but the little trio look so cute and fun to play with... :/ URGGHH
*sigh* I have checked amazon again just now, and paying in excess of 30 euros for a friggin' Deluxe isn't my idea of smart shopping. I made the mistake of paying through the nose once, for FE Bulkhead, and after having him in hand, I was somewhat disappointed. The back end refuses to stay together. At all. After getting a good look at the FoC figures, I'm seriously considering just getting a couple of Movie line figures I missed the first time through and call it quits.

Do the shoulders lock in place? They seem pretty loose.
Kind of glad I cancelled my preorder for this figure. Too much parts-forming. I like the modular sniper rifle, but having to remove the motorcycles side fairings is too much. Nice video, though.
This item is SHIT! I got one....first the gun broke, then the backpack snapped, then the hand broke too....i didn't even transform into vehicle mode yet too!

I got the blue version. She really is a nice figure. Very happy to see what else Perfect Effect can do at this scale.
Probably the best Third Party Arcee I've seen.
i noticed that they never released a decent figure for g1 arcee. finally we get one and the one we get is AWESOME!!!
this is an amazing version of arcee i've ever seen
definitely picking up this version

wow ur really doin work tonight dude. Morning here in switzerland. and nothing better to wake up to.
I want this so badly. It's a thing of beauty.

she's pink and brought her party cannon, she never goes anywhere without her party cannon
PRiD Vehicon is super-hard to get anywhere, but in my neck of the woods, PRiD Arcee is a shelfwarmer.
I was in the same boat. Just go ahead and get both. I just couldn't resist.
That rifle looks fricken cool.
this figure is awesome i must get it
and i need to find out more about perfect effect to see what other characters and figures they have made
It's an epic mecha anime. I suggest you start watching some. It's one of the best made shows period.
Real GI Joes ride pink robot motorcycles from SPACE!
Hmm, this one and the Delicate Warrior are pretty cool.
Man, this is a really nice looking figure.
I really wish I could afford it.

At first I saw all thhe parts pop-off at the start and thought, "great a parts-former"... Then I saw that rifle, and all was forgiven.
Would be a good stand in for a War/Fall of cybertron Arcee but I'll wait till she hits clearance.

I now believe in love at first sight.
But how sturdy is the plastic she is made from? Does the paint chip easily?
I wa a bit disappointed you didn't do a size comparison.
NIce video. I think this is the first time I have seen all the stuff she can do. There is alot there, but for $100............I dont know.
i really like this one. it reminds me of something out of mospeada or megazone 23.
Reminds me of the Motoslave from Bubblegum Crises.
The Baroness would look awesome on her....

This is an awesome Arcee hommage...but not for a hundred bucks. Nope...too many other things on the list that take priority.
Peaugh, can a SHF Kamen Rider figure fit on there, and look good? Cross over possibilities!
i dont think you covered this but is it possible to half transform the feet and have wheels instead of feet
I can't wait until Aranea comes out.
@Peaugh. Will you be doing a Fall of Cybertron Sideswipe, if so, when, and when will he be available at stores?

I have an Autobot Hound that does that
arcee is pretty cool
I believe that would be called a "bipod" not a "tripod". there are to legs to the stand, not three
would you recommend me to get the Motobot or the reflector camera team? really want an arcee but the little trio look so cute and fun to play with... :/ URGGHH
Well I can't agree with you on either point but power to you.
Who needs this when I have MGT-01.
Not sure about Arcee, but it's perfect for Chromia.
TF Source, RobotKingdom, etc. And for about $80-$100, depending on where you go.
nice arcee
Transforming the legs into bike mode for mine is crazy hard. So worried I'm going to break something.

...i think i just might pick this girl up!
Is it still parts-forming if the pieces form a gun?
yup you just have to tape a couple of balloons to her chest to get the full effect xD
Hey Peaugh did she come with a visor?
The Sniper Rifle makes me think Yoko from Gurren Lagann.
want this so bad where do i get it and how much does it cost?
alot of poping and locking with this figure
so much partsforming!
Did you bye the blue version???
why didnt mr bay use something like this instead of the uni leg design crap in ROTF?
I guess you missed the ads in the comments and the video
You can always call the blue one Chromia, I don't see what's stopping you; just an idea.
where can i get this one from?
Sure, but if you dislike partsforming you wouldn't be coming to Perfect Effect in the first place.
in vehicle mode whot out the side panels Rc look's like a mangaled robot
I'd be interested if it weren't for the tiny head and SUPER TINY face. Looks like a bad custom.
pe-09 was made for this robot.
nice vehicle and robot mode. but there are to many pop ups!!! it should be more solid.
a 10!!!!
She is kind of bulky to me. I'm not too crazy about her face either.
I like the prime arcee better well the first edition one anyway.
i wish i could afford this
well these figures are built for gi-joe figures.
Fantastic figure! Just not worth 100 bucks imo...
Motobot RC. I C what they did there.
only complaint is that she's a bit masculine looking
Its more like Kreo
Nice figure. I think its too much though.
Looks more like partsformers..
the robot without the accessories kind of looks like a cross between Arcee and Elita-1.
Arcee is a girl and girls should be feminine. This one kinda looks like animated Prowl in drag. I like my animated Arcee. I'll pass on her.
what gurren lagann
Ah man, I can't stand it when the shoulders don't lock into place. Just like those stupid seeker molds, it like totally ruins it.
tripods have three legs
bipod
nah wfc arcee is a car
Quickscope
parts formers much
she feels more like a scooter than a bike :/
This item is SHIT! I got one....first the gun broke, then the backpack snapped, then the hand broke too....i didn't even transform into vehicle mode yet too!
