My friend played this for me when I was crying. My great grandmother passed away 1 year ago, and I still miss her. I told my friend about what happened and he said “ what was her favourite song. I told him this song and he learned how to play the piano in less than 6 months just so he could play this for me.
He got me inspired so I started to learn the song, and we played together for so long. His parents became annoyed. We had to go to my house to continue playing.
Our cover wasn’t the same,but I liked it. And the best part, is we’re still good friends. And when he learned a new song, he would come running to my house, and play for me.

I used to play piano when I was younger, though I gave up, but I remember how my cousin (literally my sister) loved Canon in D. When I was only a beginner, and even though she was older than me, she'd ask me to play her Canon in D. And I couldn't. I never could. It always broke my heart that I couldn't play her the one thing she asked me to play for her. And listening to this just makes me want to go and start playing all over again, learning Canon in D and someday play it for her.

Hi Bella and Lucas! How are you? I would like to say that this is the best Canon in D cover I have ever seen. The melody cheers me up in a way I can't explain. It's touch my heart, my soul. It's like it brings me nostalgia, but I don't know why. You're both extremely talented and I'm in love with your videos. I'm learning to play the piano and watching your videos motivates me a lot. This Canon in D video makes me feel sensations that I've never felt in other covers. He conveys freedom and that's amazing. I wish you guys to have a very happy life and that you never stop playing these wonderful songs. I've already shared this video with several friends, as it deserves to be seen all over the world. OMG I didn't expect it to be this good! Starting from 0:39 I was so shocked & almost cried, those notes gotta be the most romantic notes I've ever heard in my life
Whenever a cellist hears this piece, all they hear is pain.
Why?
Because they play the same 8 notes over and over!
i think that generally playing a string instrument is a pain. Especially if you put your finger half a millimetre off. Or at least that’s how it is on the violin which is the only violin or viol family string instrument i have experience with. I guess the monotony just adds to the overall difficulty, but at least you have a nice classical piece to listen to while you’re playing. I guess there are also versions where the cello plays the main melody, there’s a really nice particular performance for piano and cello on youtube.
Yas, indeed. I took on learning the first violin part on my cello because it is better than the cello part, but I still love the song.
