I think this is the final nail in the coffin. I am going to pick up a mini 3 pro to keep as my second drone for flying in slightly more risky situations like off a boat, jet ski, etc. or when I want to toss one into my camera bag as a second option for a shoot. Thanks, Billy!

I usually do my Hyper-lapses with the Mavic 3, but I see your point about the Mini 3 Pro being better choice when you don’t people to know you a drone in the air. And you captured some great hyper-lapses with Mini 3 Pro. Thanks for sharing.
Dji should make short disconnects not stopping the task ,when doing hyperlapses in waypoint mode or some other intelligent fly mode. I understand if it halts the hyperlapse when you have a 15-20second disconnect. But for shorter ones. Usually the signal will be restored quickly if it was a cut because some trees or buildings blocking the signal.
Agreed. The recording and even the video creation are all done on board. Why can't the UAS continue on without a connection for a longer period before going full mayday?

Recently got a DJI 3 mini pro as gift and been flying it recreationally. With the extended battery life, the weight is going to be over 249 right? And if so, then I would need to get license right?
There are tools in Adobe Premier as well as Davinci Resolve that can stabilize to some degree. They crop the image slightly to do it, but it can save a video that wanders around.
Air 3 is getting me longer flight time hyperlapses, possibly because my Mini 3 Pro plus batteries have 50+ cycles. Still Air 3 is getting 91% of advertised flight time.
OK, I screwed my newbie ass on my hyperlapse. I downloaded from sd card mini 3 pro. Besides learn shutter speed and duration, I 😂 even get photos on lightcut from my phone files. No matter what. Learning slowly. Have all photos. But don't know how to turn into hyperlaspe.
You flew over a stadium during a performance? Are you sure there wasn't a TFR? If not, you should probably put this in the description or text on the screen. This kind of stuff is why we have so many restrictions now!
Nice. But you are violating several FAA rules such as flying over people, flying without monitoring the drone when you put down the controller and doing other things, etc. I appreciate the advice and video, but you should ensure that you're being a responsible aviator so that we all can continue to enjoy flying without the FAA implementing even more restrictions.

The extended battery, and vertical shooting is my favorite features of the mini 3 for hyperlapsing.

@@ksnax I tried on Aftereffect but did not work properly. mostly I used DVS but did not get good results.

Most computer USB ports max @ 15w. That's not full speed charging for Mini 3 Pro batteries - just saying.
