I love how Jonathan Young makes a cover awsome by doing it his own way while still delivering as much of the same emotions as the original. That´s why he is one of very few cover artists that I listen to regularly. Amazing job!

I actually began to cry listening to this cover. It has been a long time but back in high school I used to blare this album in my room and contemplate whether or not life had any meaning and, more often than not, I would cause self harm. This song took me back in many ways. The old white scars seemed to ache at the memory. I could almost hear the ghosts of screams and arguments that I have not heard in nearly a decade. But- This cover made me finally think back on how I completely took this song all out of context. I lived between those lines long ago and survived. And if I can continue on, you can too. Whoever is reading this out there, it really is never too late.
As silly as it sounds, song's like this helped me through the hardest part of my teenage years, I struggled so a lot with depression and self harm. Music like this somehow helped me keep myself safe and alive, so hearing it again and so well done has honestly brought me to tears. It helps remind me of all that I've gone through and that it does get better. So thank you, for helping to remind me of all that.

It took me away from the horror of the pain I was in that my old town treated me in such disgusting manner I was ready to give it all up. But I moved away, I found friends that were patient with me as I slowly opened up to them and trusted them. Until one day I was strong enough to say "I'm done with this pain and being depressed! I want to shine and show everyone who I truely am!" And I did and my friends and family love me for showing who I am and how far I have come along. Please don't give in because there are people out there who love you and want you to grow into the amazing person that you can be! You are never alone! I remember listening to this when I was 14-15, wanting to end my life every day for a year. I had gone through extreme bullying for many years, and just couldn't see any way forward. Just got reminded of this song as I was going through Jonathan's covers. I know this comment will be buried, but seriously, the lyrics are true. I remember listening to this when I was 14-15, wanting to end my life every day for a year. I had gone through extreme bullying for many years, and just couldn't see any way forward. Skip to seven years later, I've just graduated from uni with a full time job in the industry, and role, I wanted.

Thank you so much for doing this cover. This song, and this cover, especially, helped me through the darkest time in my life so far. I remember when I was in the process of harming myself, planning to finally end my existence on this damned planet, because I felt that no one cared about me. Then this song came on on my girlfriend's playlist. Your cover of this song portrayed so much emotion and emphasis on never giving up. I started breaking down and sobbing. My girlfriend came into the room, and was shocked by what I was doing. She took my knife, and hugged me tightly, softly singing the chorus to this song as she consoled me.
