Yep but the Ashiok ultimate was 100% a missplay the oponent clearly was playing the version of the deck that run only a set of board wipe (1 board wipe which means only 4 or less cards to clear the board) If only he decide to reset the Liliana the game would end very quickly.
About 17:43 I may be wrong but if you meant casting See the Truth with Proxy, it's totally fine with Narset cause Truth doesn't draw cards but puts cards into your hand

Wow, the see the truth package is so perfect for this deck. Prevents you from having to play random bad enchantments/artifacts. A little surprised invasion of Amonket didn't make the list, it seems pretty good with Flayer and Proxy.
The deck would be pretty bad at transforming Battles, and if we do get Grim Flayer to attack it we wouldn't even get to Surveil. Could be decent in slower matchups where the immediate effect can provide some value, but that's usually not what the format is about.
Spoiler. . . Would have been funny if you got to exile the opponents Nine LIves with their own Farewell. But of course risky to set up. Also, that Lilliana Emblem truly is the most flavourfull representation of a relentless undead horde, just overrunning an enemy by sheer attrition.
I could see invasion of ahmenket as a great battle to add cuz it mills causes opponents to discard and grants you card advantage, with a splash of pseudo reanimation
It's just way too weak a card for pioneer (and standard). Not to mention, this deck plays very few actual creatures, so we'd struggle to pressure a battle.
@@MineRoyale. I think Invasion of Amonkhet saw some use in Grixis midrange decks in the last pro tour, but yes it would struggle to be more than a weak sorcery with a novel cardtype in this deck with few creatures
Match 3 opponent clearly wasn't around when Liliana, the Last Hope was in standard and didn't realise just how tough the emblem is to beat, especially for a control deck.
20:17 Kinda weird they scooped, given that 9 lives is still an out. On the other hand, they might not have any good answers to Lili, in which case her ultimate will lock it up nicely.
The best thing about your channel is that you keep a normal, quiet voice. I hate when youtubers are constantly yelling, laughing and/or talking too loud...
People just do not read cards. When Tarmogoyf was added I constantly had people trying to kill it with burn damage that left it alive once the burn card hit the graveyard.
10:20 If you had used Liliana first, I think they'd have gotten less Hordemaster triggers since they both would have died in the same state based check. Right?
17:44 I don't think it does, does it? as see the truth reads 'look at the top 3 and put each into your hand' not 'draw 3'. Maybe i'm wrong but thats how i interpreted it.
Im not sure if this would work, but in that last game, since you are controlling your opponent but also controlling your own creatures, would that mean that apparition would have no valid targets on either side? If so, it might be worth it to play it just to waste the trigger.
kinda backseating i guess but for the first time in a long while i actually have a backlog of LVD to catch up on... and i just noticed that, while you have everything neatly sorted out in format playlists, i have no ̶b̶r̶a̶i̶n̶-̶d̶e̶a̶d̶ one-click way of binging your content, since this was removed from the "videos" tab. (you could also squeeze in the MTGA-offi vids or whatev's in this "all LVD" list) just a thought for the ideabox, if the creative juices ever run dry (def' not now i mean, you're on fire lately) cheers from Brussels
Anyone else feel like Battles ended up being a bit of a dud? Like... They're kind of cool but they honestly just feel like meme-y enchantments/hybrid of enchantment and Planeswalker. They don't feel like a distinctive card "type". Also sort of funny that we've had 1.5 sets (Aftermath is hardly a full set lol) since Battles were introduced and neither of them have featured a Battle lmao. Do you guys think we'll even get more Battles in Eldraine? I dont know why, but I feel like we won't... Which sort of begs the question, why the hell did they even bother? It's like if when they introduced the Planeswalker card type, they then didn't bother adding any more Planeswalkers for a couple of sets after? Idk am I over thinking it?
They definitely could be waiting to see the overall reaction of the community before printing more. If that is the case, probably not gonna see more battles for a year or more. Def gonna be interesting to see where they go in the future
As is with my suspicion, the decision to go face or battle will be one of the big factors that make or break battles (you often go to face). Some has p standard and decent tech that you can play no matter your deck, like the 4-mana Zendikar ramp battle or 6-mana Fiora boardwipe, but most of the time, you treat them as instant/sorcery with upside, and the rest go into specific combo/synergy deck. Even decks that seek to transform them dedicate some of tech-tools to do the job instead of naturally transforming them via attacks (Render Inert). And fwiw, those all-rounded value (instant/sorcery) battle is p nice on their own. Granted, they are on the higher-end of mana cost (4+). Also, the Battles we're seeing is Siege subtype. I wonder what other subtype they're cooking for battles.
That's exactly what they did with planeswalkers, though. They put 5 in Lorwyn, then none in Morningtide, Shadowmoor, or Eventide, and brought them back in Alara. I'm sure we'll see more eventually, especially with planeswalkers now taking a backseat.
Given that all the battles so far have been Sieges, I'm expecting to see a different Battle subtype before we see Sieges again. Maybe some sort of "all players can attack this, whoever kills it gets the effect" (Battle - Confrontation perhaps?), or an effect that is more powerful upfront, but leaves you defending a battle with very little loyalty the opponent can transform (Battle - Charge)?
It really is too bad that battles ended up being such a disappointment. I feel like they were trying to play it too safe. They could've pushed the power level a little bit.
Amazing how you keep turning out bangers every time

Hot damn match 3 was a nail-biter. Both sides getting planeswalker ultimates off, truly down to the wire. Great calls there!

You're right! You are putting the cards into your hand, it never says "draw".
You’re right, wasn’t sure about the second mode!

that game against dimir good stuff was intense
The play at 43:00 was amazing. I would have never thought of that 🤩

That Bitterblossom print!
My favorite deck since a while!
Woah new sponsor! Looks cool
18:45 nothing better than Jace avatar U/W control hitting "Your Go" as you consider your turn :)
Sultai is my favorite color combination, and this deck is absolutely disgusting!! In a good way haha! Awesome deck Luca, keep up the great work man!!!

Awesome brew, great set of games, and thanks for the fantastic content.
"Fatal Push? That's fine. Got 10 more of those?" LMAO I love Sassy Luca xD
Love to see "Your Go" opponents scoop, especially when they're Azorius Control!!!!
This deck is a true dream. Thanks for sharing!

Awesome! This seems like just the deck to blow all my wildcards on and stay firmly rooted to the bottom of Platinum 4 xD

I tell you what, they put up a really solid fight despite the emblem going off so early

u/b control guy threw so hard by not getting rid of your lili

I do uphold that Invasion of Amonkhet belongs in delirium piles. There's just no room for it in this configuration.

You mentioned not having any good battles for the deck, but were there any you were considering before cuts? Which battles almost made it?
Invasion of Ixalan was the only one cheap enough to consider.
God this was my kind of deck.
Delirium crosses so well with Atraxa, 's too bad the deck doesn't have a little room for a small reanimate element

this deck looks great, im out of wildcards tho T_T

#LegendVD you have to make an historic brawl version❤
I did Ishkanah Delirium in Brawl a few months back!

Since it's "up to one" we can always decline to exile something.
