    It will be curious to compare Paul Thomson's Physical Graffiti, Cosmic Charlie, Purple Haze, and Dark Star side by side! The flavor descriptions are similar. I wonder if they are that much different.

      I agree! I think they are similar but PG, PH, and DS are usually the favorites by many growers.

    Looking good! What did you pollenate Dark Star with? Do you separate pollen or mix all your pollen? Thanks for all your shares and videos with ALL your plants.

      Thanks! I mix pollen when it's available, unless I want to collect seeds and grow some hybrids.

    Paul,
    Dark Star was my only dragon fruit to flower last year and it did produce 1 fruit on its own. My understanding from Laguna Hills Nursery is that Dark Star and some others are self pollinating when closer to the coast where it is a bit more humid. The guy at Spicy Exotics I believe has said the same for some dragon fruit varieties (can't recall which). Thanks for the great videos!

      It's definitely a debate. It's never set fruit for me on it own or with its own pollen yet here and I've tried numerous times.

    Que variedad es más comercial? Dark Star o laverne red??. Exelente trabajo!!!

      @RAREDRAGONFRUIT  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd say both have commercial potential.
