Hey thanks I hope you like the channel have another video uploading tonight. Not the axle swap however. But I will try and get a more in depth video of the brown truck and everything g suspension related. 👍
@@rakordus Sweet man! I've been wanting to 12v swap a dent side for years and am finally nearing a point in life where I might be able to start soon. Got my eyes on a mint 2wd extended cab that would definitely need a second driveshaft. May be picking your brain a bit when that time comes!
Living On Wheels sure no problem. Bumps and dents are by far my favorite. So pretty familiar what works and don’t. Just let me know what questions you have and I’ll try and answer.
Beautiful truck. Always wanted one of these and in that colour too. Living in Ireland we don’t have these here but ever since I drove my friends 1980 Silverado in the Turkish mountains as a kid I always wanted to get a big old yank pickup equip it with air compressors, winch etc and build me a log house up there using the truck itself. Hillbilly life goals. Would love to see more of this build. Good luck with the channel 👍
Just stumbled across this video looking for projects similar to mine. Congrats, awesome build, I love it. Built, not bought! Hope you keep it for a long time! I've been working on a 1958 Dodge body swap with a 12v. You build faster than me!
Love the 72 I'm just particularly fond of the 78-79 Ford f250s or F class period, and would love to get my hands on a crew cab so I can modify it they're just hard to find especially in Maryland.
Bro I am from Australia 🇦🇺 I like your channel, I’ve got a SR Country ( 67 -72 Bumpside Bronco Made in Brazil 🇧🇷) with a factory MWM 229 diesel and 5 speed Clark manual transmission and Dana dif ! All the best from South Australia 🇦🇺
Looks great, I like the whole idea. You should talk to Bank's about the unburned and wasted fuel that doesn't give you any power and makes mini charcoal briquettes. He will show you how to clean up the fuel and make more power.
Man don't need to do anything else to it. That truck is the best truck I've ever seen, it's my favorite and I don't even like trucks. But I do that one.
I have a mint 67 F250 2WD Camper Special and want to do a 12v swap. Is there any company that sells the mounts and such?? Thx so much. And awesome ride!!!!
I'm from Wisconsin too. I know it's hard to believe but I think I passed this truck up about 4 years ago. If it isn't the same truck it was a twin. Now I have a 72 crew I'm building. I would love to ask a few questions. I'm using a 04 isb out of a freightliner with 2400 allison. Engine placement and intercooler are a few things I'm trying to figure out. Thanks
Getting ready to purchase back my first truck 1970 f250 4x4 and going to be putting a 12 valve 6 speed manual in it, would love to see the swap in detailed videos!
Is the intercooler “about” were the radiator originally sat? I just got around to looking at intercooler spacing on my in progress 1967 Ford Cummins swap and their isn’t much room at the bottom of the grill and the radiator support. I also need to put an a/c condenser in there somewhere...Fun times!
Gauges are from Dakota digital. Good complete gauges and would work on any motor platform you would like to install in the dent side. A little pricey for me but everyone’s budget is different. But good quality and I would have to say from personal experience good customer support.
@@rakordus are they really? when i first got my '73 crew ($600 less motor and trans), i already had the powertrain, so I knew what was going to happen with it, but at that point, their stuff was all tacky looking led that did not belong at all with this kind of build. nice to know! i've got a list of parts somewhere to convert most of the original stuff to work with dodge parts, but this has gotten my attention again.
@@dylanpeterson3490 no problem. Ya there stuff really is pretty good. I don’t know the quality of there stuff I. The past. This is the first thing I purchased from them. There is a lot of wiring that goes with it. But the thing I liked about it the most was the god speedometer. No cables needed. Hooks to up to 13 different satellites at once to give you speed going down the road.
Subscribed. This is an awesome truck. I'm in Wisconsin as well and love seeing that old truck without rust. Did you sell this truck or keeping it as a driver?
Solomon with Ford era, has one that sort of looks similar to that one, with the Cummins diesel in it. it's a little older than that one, if I remember rightly I believe it's a 1970 crew cab four door. it's called Gold dust he's having some problems with a oil leak with it. I would bet he would appreciate any tips and advice you could give him. he features a lot of trucks on his channel on a segment called what the truck. and I'm sure he would love to feature your truck on his channel, and with his channel he knows a lot people who would be interested in your services. I'm guessing you already know of him? but if not you should check his channel out. I immediately thought of him when I seen your truck.
I have a 72 f250 camper special I want to do this to but I already have a 24’ step van with a 4BT that runs great . I am thinking I would also like to add 4 wheel drive as well, I have owned this truck for 30 years. Any issue with adding HP on this engine and keeping it dependable? Also what are my options for automatic transmission that would have an overdrive? The transmission with the 390 is just a 3 speed.
I just saw the video of the 72' twin turbo. What happened to that truck? Did you guys sell it? It looks Great! I am getting ready to start a build similar to that. Just have not found the "Right" truck yet.
Hey man I’m looking at doing the same exact thing. I’ve got a pair of 2000 axles and a 6.5” lift kit for a 2000. How much trouble did you have getting the newer axles in?
Ya so when I did mine I had to make my frame brackets work and used the Superduty springs. Some custom brackets. However I know if you don’t want to make them there are people out there just sell the brackets. I also used the Superduty steering box and steering linkage and got rid of the factory box.
Love it. My build is a ‘68 F350 dually, 47RH with billet parts and four link with twin 6000lbs airbags. Work in progress. I would like to to ask everyone to stop rolling coal. Your going to kill our hobby. The libtards see that and the next thing you know there’s some new law that is counter to what we like. I won’t say what could be done to kill our hobby, but it would be a simple thing to do legislatively speaking.
Why would you want to put a diesel in an old classic american-made truck ? that didn't come with it and son have you tried to fuel up diesel trucks here lately it's astronomical
What is with the smoke? Totally unnecessary and shows someone has no clue how to tune. It is possible to have no smoke through the RPM range and increase the HP. Black smoke = wasted fuel. I am running a 4bt with a virgin pump - it smoked from the factory - up graded to twin turbos and then started playing with the waste gates - temps went down, power went up, zip in the way of smoke. Oh yah the mileage? It went up:)
Sick build man! Love it, just need to work on that tune.
Thanks man. Means a lot.
I’m glad you stayed with the factory brown! Looks amazing!
