Hello, just wanted to say your mini-album is beautiful, I live in the UK so we don't have a budget craft store and I was fed up overpaying for supplies. So my husband-to-be decided to open a craft store online at Laneys crafts and he sells craft products at more realistic prices. We found that most of my crafty friends are on disability and can not afford to buy crafts on the high street as they are overpriced. His quote is "craft supplies at affordable prices" he also tells his customers if they are looking for something and it's not on the website, to phone him and he will try and find the product. Take care and stay safe love from the UK xx
Ooo-oo! Love your new opening title screen! Right off the bat, I am impressed with the coordinated placement of flowers so that the pocket elements and the purposefully placed flowers on the first folded insert are visible as a single "cover" design. Very clever, Ginny!! Great advice to mix and match from the open stock inventory. I'm surprised that you've used designer paper inside the easel portion. On the other hand, the added layers do provide strength. Love the design and style of both these projects! I'm thinking about making this for my 100 year old aunt's dresser top. She lives in a care facility in snow covered Chicago...something like this will bring a little spring her way. On the other hand...because it just started to snow in the Pacific NW, maybe snowflakes and cute gnomes? YES! Thanks for making the construction of this easel album so easy to understand and follow, Ginny!! You are, indeed, a creative gem!
I love these loaded pockets you create and the addition of the easel makes 'em even better. These would make great gifts for anyone for any holiday or special event. Probably my biggest problem area in paper crafting is choosing colors and patterns which is why I generally stick to collections - and I still struggle. Thank you for sharing your thought process on choosing open stock papers. I continue to learn new tricks from you...thank you, Ginny!
Thank you and hello all..I'll probably adjust and change the theme 8 pages, instead 16 pages or less. I rarely have solid 12x12..which I'll cut, etc my 8-1/2x11 for the easel...However I do like your concept..excellent..excellent. Thanks again. All be safe & healthy
I'm so glad to see this video and you posted it at the right time...my niece is having a baby boy at the end of March so I have time to make one and not rush through it....I have sturdy cardstock so i can start to cut it out next will going to the store for the pattern paper....the only problem I'll have is the flowers I'll have to come out with something else. Thanks so much for sharing this album.
Cute paper! JoAnn just had all of their open stock paper half off. It took a lot of will power to stay away as I have so much paper already, but now I will gladly pay full price to pick up the "moon and stars" print...it is just too cute! ( Although, I can use a coupon). Building the easel element is such a clever way to turn your pocket design into decor. Great way to use up those "archived" collections too.
I love this project. So many themes one can use this pattern for. My head is buzzing with ideas. My first being a bumblebee themed one in yellow and black, which I will tackle this weekend. Just a quick thought ~ Is there any way when you edit the video that you could add the measurements for the pieces on the screen so we could pause the video to write them down? That would be so convenient for us when we get ready to create the project. Thanks so much for this video. I love them all.
Truly love this!! So fun, easy and giftable. One question, the size of the inserts, is the white card stock cut to 5.5 x 11? I listened twice, but didn’t hear the second measurement. Thank you!! I am going to make one for my a grand-nephew. 👶🏼
Love it!! I also love the way you use Dollar Tree items. I also like to craft on a budget. Do you also use Michaels Hot Buy Pads? I have alot of them but have a hard time finding other crafters using them. I'm off to create this...thanks for sharing!!
I would say I like some of the Hot Buy pads but sometimes the themes are not really my style and sometimes the scale of the prints make them hard to incorporate into card sized projects. I have many that I do like though and you cant beat the price!
@@MarilynB-MariLuv Thank you for your response 🙂 I’m in Canada so I will check Michael’s again but I think we only have 65lb in 12x12 lol and it may be a while before I can visit to get some across the border 😐
@@SimplyjenniferN You're welcome. If you hv large boxes, glue 2 together. However I hv more 8-1/2x11 USA size cardstock 65lbs & 110lbs. Sooo I'll be revising my size 1/2 less..You may wanna try reducing size..

This is just so cute! And easy to follow. Can you share what doily die you used? Thank you!

I'm trying to add measurements on the screen. My writing is not so good but I think they will be easy to follow.

The inserts are 5 1/2 inch square so it was cut from 5 1/2 x 11 paper and scored in the middle : )

These are adorable! Excited to try to make one. Where do you find the charms you use? Do you order them or in stores? Thanks!
Amazon
Oh I loved these so much!! I have a question where do you get your 110lb 12x12 card stock ?
Thanks for sharing your beautiful projects 💜 Jen
You can get 110lbs CS at Micheals, Hobby Lobby, maybe Tuesday morning. Or poster board if strong enough at dollar tree.
