A great movie. I’ve always liked Fred Mac Murray, except when he played in westerns, and Lauren Bacall was exceptional; but in this movie, my favorites were Cornel Wilde and June Allyson, who were both great actors in their own right. June’s voice reminds of Audrey Hepburn; another great one. Thanks for the post. It was some great entertainment! ❤
She threw her benefactress under the bus indicating she knew cheap places in NY, while she herself dresses with the best of Kansas (not her fault what shops there do not carry!), not to add that she used friends as she did her husband. She is the most despicable, with the tramp being her second best.
Van Heflin is one of my favorite actors ever. Excellent in every movie he made.
Agree, Van Heflin was great

That is a Most Wonderful film.
I really enjoyed it.
😊😊😊
Good movie ❤. Thanks TH-cam
the premise a bit implausible, but good characters, storytelling and well acted. Extra points for Mrs Talbot.
What do you mean by the premise is a bit implausible?
I find the ads distracting. I get so absorbed in these characters and the story, then screech-ad shows. Ug. Van Heflin fan too.
Superb!
Thank you! Cheers!
Thanks. Haven’t seen this in ages.
Mrs. Kansas - a real barracuda under the non-assuming veil.
Yes, indeed, a clever little hook.

The plot described in the SYNOPSIS is not the plot of this movie, which is downright misleading! The movie is much more predictable.
Van Heflin, Cornell Wlide left off castlist.
Business as usual
