I just had one given to me yesterday in 10 gauge! I want to tear it down and do the same thing. I wish there was a video showing showing how to take it apart and put it back together. I’m sure it can’t be too hard. Mine is missing the primer tray, lower primer seater, the shot bottle, and charge bushings. I’ll have to start looking for parts.
it's a relatively simple procedure for teardown. I just started unbolting things and taking pictures as I went in case I ran into problems on reassembly. I segregated the parts by the assemblies they were part of. It made reassembly easier. The only thing that gave me problem was the adjusting the sizing collet adjustment. Eventually I got it right. The auto primer feed took a little fiddling to get the primers to drop every time, but I usually don't use it anyway.
The Sizemaster is my favorite single stage press. They are good candidates for restoration. Even rusty ones can be brought back to life as replacement parts are readily available.

This looks like a fun project. I’m going to look around for a used Sizemaster. Well done Sir.

Nice job Dan!
Excellent work Sir.
Well done.
How did you polish the chrome parts. What tools did you use?
I used 0000 steel wool soaked with WD40. It took a lot of hand rubbing but was worth the effort.
I was hoping to see some actual restoration work but I guess that was too much to expect. At least the beatnik music was cool.
What’s the song?
