Hi Neil Absolute great work you are doing. I am showing your videos to my mother, (Dunn) who is 95, and was born on Frizzell Ave, 1929. She is currently living in gatineau quebec and just loves your work. She provides me with so many additional stories related to your photos in your videos. They provide her great joy. You should be very proud.
Nice, but a couple of mistakes- the fire hall at 4:05 could not have been demolished in 1942, the cars are from the early 1950s. At 5:16 at the foot of Roncesvalles is later than 1960- that's a 1962 Thunderbird at the stoplight and the car at the back of that row is a 64 Chevrolet. Do you have any photos of Roncey at Galley? That's where I live.
That firehall was not easy to find information for, it was built in 1847, rebuilt in 1872, operated from 1874 till 1936, but the demo date was hard to find there was two dates, looks like i picked the wrong date. The date for the foot of Roncesvalles should have said 60's, I don't have any for Roncey at Galley, I will see what I can find.
Thanks again, Neil ...many of the changes are so drastic and sad
Yes they are.
Thanks! Probably my favourite so far.
Glad you are enjoying these.

Another awesome video Neil. Thanks. More videos with the Junction and Weston please. 🙏
Making my way around, I have a few to do there.
0:35 just letting you know that I really appreciate what you do brings me back to my childhood growing up in Toronto😊
Thank you for watching.
Lovely music to accompany the great shots...
Thank you.
Said perfectly 👍
Excellent as always. Sad to see some of those beautiful architectural buildings replaced by basically boxes with no character 😢
Very few of the replacements look good, just basically functional with no features to make them stand out.
Thank you!!!!!👍🇨🇦
You are welcome
Not getting downtown much anymore, some of the new stuff is new to me.
Glad you like it.

@@NeilB.Arnold Thanks for that.
A plus 1 as always.
The old shot of Bay and Lake st is completely new to me; a great find.
Thank you very much.
Very nicely done wow!!😍
Thank you very much.
1:24 I used to work at Confederation Life in the early '80s (that house had been replaced by then)
I kind of figured that it had been, but it was nice to hear from someone with first hand knowledge.
Roncy mcd corner hasn't changed much lol
Wait till you see my next video of Roncey.
Too bad the spray paint can can’t be un-invented.
I know what you mean.
Amen to that.
@@Alex_Mitchell I don't mind the good artists so much it is the annoying tags that I find annoying.
Hi Neil, do you have any really great videos of Hamilton’s past, especially from 1964 and up ?
No sorry, I have been concentrating on Toronto mainly, as I rely on public transportation to get me around to these places.
Ditto 😢
Everything in the past looks better. I suppose because I'm getting old.
We are all getting old.
i think you're right
So much torn down a paved over.
There are people trying to save what is left.
how was Sobey's allowed to build such a horrible building
Don't all Sobeys look like that?
@@NeilB.Arnold I don't know... but that makes it worse, not better
@@1967PONTIACGTO True.
@@NeilB.Arnold Pretty much, but this photo bothered me. I wish the city could have kept a lot of these old buildings from being demolished.
@@leejones7439 me too.
