That female kid and that other kid...😂😂
Dude switched off as soon as he left the film set.
Work/Life balance ftw!
I don't think he even knew what scene he was referring to
Hard agree. The Keats is just along for the ride here.
"I'm far from a superhero aficionado" said Batman
I mean he's just an actor playing a role at the end of the day- it's rare when you get someone like David Tennant whose a fan of the thing he's playing
Batman cant waste time reading comics!! 😂
Bruce Wayne is just playing Michael Keaton at this point
lol i just admit that he needed to be educated on marvel
The OG Batman too
I absolutely love that Keaton refers to Tom Holland as "that kid."
I'm 25 years younger than Michael Keaton, and I've started forgetting names already. 😞
I hear Tom is kind of a prima donna. A lot of actors make fun of him for it.
tom is a baby lol
Idk if he is that now lol
@@trollzone1that makes sense but I feel like a lot of other people like him for that rather than dislike him. As in he’s more of a perfectionist than anything which certainly isn’t necessarily a bad thing
"I got it the minute I showed up and said... Oh, I get what he's doin'. I'm just gonna steer clear."
- Michael Keaton on Jared Leto's method acting
Probably a wise choice with that guy, especially in Morbius lol.
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Keaton's answer has big Michael Scott, "Sometimes I'll start a sentence, and I don't even know where it's going. I just hope I find it along the way." vibes 🤣
Sony really just has no idea what is going on Lmao
That’s Tom Rothman. Fun fact, back when Fox were making bullshit like XMen Origins Wolverine…. Tom Rothman was the head of THAT studio then.
@@adamJKpunk That explains A LOT. Keep this Tom dude away. I could see messing up, having some bad project a bad day at the office happens to everyone. Everyone messes up once in a while. But this dude? He's too sloppy and...I don't want to call him stupid but...
Seriously this dude is a problem.@@adamJKpunk
they know they can keep pumping out shoestring budget superhero dogshit and make a little money
they blackmailed disney with taking spiderman rights away if they dont allow them to put that scene with vulture in morbius and venom in mcu for at least 30 secs xD I was rolling, when I saw how it turned out. They literally kicked out venom before he had chance to interact with anyone important. Loved it. Goes to show what mcu thinks of sonyverse
"I see what he's doing - I'm gonna stear clear..." Hysterical.
I love how he's trying to politely hide the fact he thought Jared Leto was a fucking clown shoe.
Not even a clown at this point, just a singular shoe
Ah cahm aaahn
“He had finally talked to me.” 💀 this whole interview is comedy gold.
You forget he is Oscar winner, so the method works
@jacobharris954 was it really necessary for playing morbius for gods sake
honestly the most surprising thing to learn is that they were actually in the same room filming that scene. because by the way they cut it i was sure it was all green screen
In the trailers there's a scene (that was cut) where Morbius and Michael Keaton talk outside of the prison. That's probably what Keaton is referring to filming. Because that post-credit scene is absolutely shot on green screen lmao
Yeah, I was gonna say that I’m 99% sure that that final screen was green-screen, and that Michael Keaton was confused and talking about a completely different scene. I was gonna make a joke that he was probably talking about a different movie entirely lol, but it makes total sense that he was instead talking about the cut scene outside the prison.
The scene with he and Tom in the car is a master class in how to be scary. The acting there was superb and Keaton was just fantastic
That's why Michael Keaton is the best live-action Batman ever. He's the only one who was genuinely scary as Batman.
that scene SUCKED. You think vulture actually gonna shoot peter at school w his daughter there who he doesnt want to know hes a criminal. come on
@@saintfreezy6914 He wasn't gonna shoot him, the gun was there to show Peter that he was NOT joking around.
That kid, that girl, and "He." What a cast!
Clearly has zero recollection or worthwhile anecdotes regarding either movie, still does his promotional time and and is an absolutely engaged and cooperative guest. That's a pro.
Tom holland I get but how do you not remember zendayas name 😂 maybe he didn’t wanna butcher it
@loganpraz2566 Hes talking about the girl who played Liz Allen in Homecoming remember she was the main love interest and he didnt share any scenes with Zendeya
@@loganpraz2566he said exactly ZERO names during this haha. I don’t think he discriminates. He knows no one’s names 😆

This legend is 72 years old. He looks 50.
I love how Michael is trying so hard to be polite, but he’s probably thinking, “What even an I doing here? Is this even an official DC film? I don’t know who these people are” What an ace
DC?
@@anishsingh2848I think that makes it even funnier. Michael doesn’t care about superhero stuff so it’s all the same to him.
"Whatever works"
yeah, well it didnt.
Also, nobody deserves to be treated like crap. If an actor is being terrible to the other people on set because he's method, then maybe it's worth finding an actor who can do the job without acting that way.
Isn't it weird how you never hear about someone method acting a character who is a nice person?
@@Jason_BryantI think Jim Carrey is a nice person. But he was a menace during Man on the Moon filming. Completely crazy in character.
It didn't and also making people wheel you to the bathroom just to make it "work" is literally inexcusable given the smear of a movie that Morbius was
@@jarg8they had to wheel him to the bathroom? Lmao why
@@h.d.5194 oh yes. Look it up! People on set leaked it before release cuz it'd waste 40+ minutes of time on set while everyone waited
The ending of morbius definitely is one of the most baffling endings of a film I've ever seen. It left me scratching my head and staring in disbelief. Then the laughter soon followed.
He’s easily one of my favorite MCU villains, both in writing and performance
Michael Keaton is one of my favorite actors ever. I can't wait to see him in the second Beetlejuice movie.
I like the moment when Michael Keaten went "It's Keatin' Time!" and I clapped.
The Vulture stuff in Morbius feels like a scramble to work something out after the Sony and Marvel Studios deal got reupped.
Didn't they put it in there thinking Morbius was gonna be part of the MCU, hence the Spider-Man mural, then Disney went "nah"? I'm sure that's what I heard. 😂
@@Midnyte-l1q I think it was the other away around. Spider-Man was originally going to be leaving the MCU. Sony and Marvel’s deal was coming to an end, Marvel didn’t want to pay Sony to keep the deal going. Now how they would’ve done that I don’t know, like would they have just separated the universes and made that some story point, or would they have just kept going like normal and just never mentioned any other Marvel Studios characters again? But I think the original idea was just to show that these previously seemingly unconnected Spider-Man related movies Sony had been making were in the same universe as what would’ve previously been MCU Spider-Man. But they reached a new deal, and I think Morbius reshoots happened after that.
@@DIOBrando-ij2bp there is no way they could've done a third movie with Tom Holland outside the MCU. It would've flopped massively
@@Midnyte-l1q Yeah, sure, the Spider-Man team-up movies I’m sure would’ve been a total flop if it wasn’t part of the MCU.
@@DIOBrando-ij2bp no you misunderstood. If they did that film without acknowledging what had happened in the previous movies, that would've been ridiculous. It would've meant they couldn't use Dr Strange, Happy, or the Stark Tech. In that case, how would they have done a multiverse film without Dr Strange. Also how could they explain what Spidey was accused of, without mentioning the Stark Tech?
Oh..... so when he said, "I think this has something to do with Spider-man," he was being meta. That's brilliant acting right there.
RDJ will always be Tony Stark to me, and
I love seeing all these new interviews with Bruce Wayne.
Michael Keaton is the normalest man in showbusiness. Hes just a regular normal honest guy who likes being normal. I love it.
He doesn’t say anything during this whole conversation, he plays off of the interviewer’s energy the whole time
judging by this clip alone, i feel like I watched the entire interview
"That scene was great"
"nono, yeayea, it was... yea, that scene was... and that kid, with the... female kid... yeayeah, no, I believe it was definitely a weird scene and yeayea uhhhhh"
I honestly believe I wasted around 3 minutes of my life with this.
Wasn't Matt Smith interviewed too at some point, and he suggested who he was playing was changed during production? Because I'm sure he had no idea who he was playing in the final version.
Ive heard he was still meant to be Loxius Crown/Hunger, they just changed his name to "Lucien" (fine whatever). But if thats that case, what was the point if him being called "Milo" lol?
I remember interviewers asking him what he thought about The Dark Knight & Ledger’s performance, his answer was obvious that he didn’t even watch it but said he was sure it was great.
Jared Leto being method for Morbius 😭 give me a break
I wonder what the fuck did he methoed. The blandest character ever seen in the big screen... with no big scenes, no big things to stand make out of his personality...
Like, I get it with the Joker. He was weird, but I can understand the type of character he had to play and I believe he did a great job at it (costume & design wasn't on him). But with Morbius? Did he walk in crotches? That's the only unique thing I can think of about Morbius...
“I didn’t understand what was going on but I understood the number of zeros on the paycheque which made doing this an east yes…” 😂😂😂
Thank goodness it's not just the general public that's confused
VENOM had the writer from 50 SHADES OF GREY (who is also directing THE LAST DANCE)
MORBIUS had the writers from GODS OF EGYPT (Who are also behind MADAME WEB)
And KRAVEN THE HUNTER has the writers from TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT
AVI ARAD ruined everything again
Keaton is so freaken cool!
In regard to the car see, we've had seens like that forever. Even in the 1st Spider-Man the Thanksgiving Dinner scene is like the same thing in a different setting
Oh yeah that is pretty similar, nice catch. I wonder if that was a direct inspiration for the homecoming scene
Thank you@@crazyinsanepenguin
"That kid", " That girl", "This dude"... This mate doesn't even try to remember any name....
why should he? lol
This clip taught me that Michael Keaton is the polar opposite of a name dropper and I love it.
The fact that he can act so well, even though he has no idea of what is going on on the scene, and also doesn't even know the name of the people he's working with, shows how good of an actor he is. The guy is a legend.
Him coming back into an empty cell part was pretty cool
I think Martin Freeman said it best about method acting (he was talking about Man on the Moon with Jim Carrey) when he said to get over yourself - It's a job. Go in, do your job and get on with it. If you can't turn it on and shut it off - you are not a very good actor. Because that is what acting is!!! Heck, I'm a DM for a Dungeons & Dragons game and have to jump characters ten times a night! What if I had to go method on each one to "find the character". I know it's not on the same level but give me a break! Get over yourself!
A perfect example is Jack Nicholson in the Shining. You watch the behind-the-scenes stuff, and you can see him gearing up and getting into character - then they yell cut, and he is back. I love the one where she locks him in the freezer and starts screaming for her to try to use the snowcat to get away (which he has sabotaged). He is banging on the door, acting maniacal and cackling like a complete nutjob. They yell cut - he takes a breath - and leans down to help the cameraman off the floor. Perfect display of control of his craft.
Now, I will say, I didn't necessarily think Leto was bad in the movie - I just think it was a bad movie. I don't feel like he ruined it - I think the script sucked and the film was poorly put together. Just like Keaton said here - even they couldn't explain why Vulture was there in the end. That was an edgy, cash-in movie with nothing behind it and they hoped no one would notice. Well, we did!
It was an "executive " decison.
"I don't care how you do it, but I want it done."
lol i love how he just refers to everyone else as "that guy/girl/kid" haha dont tihink he remembers anyones names
Well they’re more than half his age. I’m sure he remembers big time A-listers he’s worked with 30 years ago but these youngsters have only been in the business for less than a decade
@@Bingo_the_Pug Less than half.
He spent maybe like 5 full days filming actually doing scenes face to face with these people.
keaton is awesome. dude knows very little about superhero content but is SUCH a GREAT actor that he is one of the most iconic batmans and an AMAZING spiderman villain, making a character who is generally a joke in spider man cartoons come across as terrifying well also being human. his performances are amazing. and the team behind the movies did amazing working with him and casting him.
"EVEN THEY COULDN'T *EXPAIN* IT"
you know shit is hitting the fan when the interviewer himself is laughing his ass out.
"EXPAIN"
Man doesn't remember anybody's names.
It's tough to "expain" things.
Morbius...one of the greatest, complex characters of all time that required intense method acting from Leto. It was rumored that before he died, Marlon Brando commented: "my only regret is that I was unable to play Morbius in my lifetime".
I cant expain it either.
right? It's unexpainable.

“Okay Michael so here’s the plan, we’re gonna make money… you in?”
Leto going method for Morbius is hilarious
He Absolutely Rocked as Vulture.
There's Been a Lot of Messes & Strange Choices with Superhero Films especially Spiderman but Keaton's Vulture in Homecoming was like a Chefs kiss to Comic Fans while still making sense in The Modern World.
I'm a little bias cause I used the helmet design and converted it to a lower profile streetwear mask that was my main look during Covid.
Birds are Cool Man what can I Say?
They should do a Dynasty -type show about that 90's Cowboys run...so much drama ,so much success, so many huge personalities I'm surprised it hasn't already been made...especially after the last dance & this recent patriots one 😮
Morbius is now on Disney+ and I still don't have the urge to watch it. Maybe I'll wait for Madame Web to arrive and have the double feature from hell.

Michael Keaton would've made a badass Norman Osborne on Tom's Spider-Man universe of films instead of the Vulture.
Because "HE IS BATMAN"
You can tell he thought Leto was being fucking ridiculous. As we all do.
Hope the food's better in THIS interview
2:00 Michael Keaton definitely forgot Jared Leto’s name lol
“Expain” - there’s a typo in the thumbnail, my man!
Expain sums up my experience watching Morbius
So technically, Michael Keaton has been in 5 (6 if you count Birdman) superhero films and yet the only film he has superpowers in is Beetlejuice.
The explanation is simple: Sony neither understands nor cares about the character or story and just sees dollar signs
Vulture has been my favorite character but we might not see him again which worries me because well Keaton is 72 73 now and there might be a time where we don’t see him anymore and that is the problem I really wish they found a different actor for the character of Vulture because yeah I mean there is a couple of characters that I don’t want to see recast Vulture is one of them you know
I know he's Batman for a lot of people. But I'll always see him as Adrian.
You spelled the word “explain” wrong in the thumbnail
Dude I feel so bad for Michael Keaton with the way DC has handled his return as Batman. The Flash movie was a disaster and totally dampened the impact of his return, then they completely cancel the Batgirl movie and any future plans of him coming back at all. There was gonna be a BTAMAN BEYOND movie at one point. People love him as Batman, HE loves playing Batman, he deserved so much better. Batman 89 redefined superhero films and Keaton's casting is a prime example of an actor playing against type and blowing expectations out of the water
Well, on the bright side, at least Danny Devito and Arnold Schwarzenegger acknowledged him as Batman at the Oscars
I liked the Flash movie.
He'll be back..... DC know he's loved. He'll be first choice for Batman Beyond if it ever gets made.
Keaton simply doesn’t know anybody’s names and that’s honestly kind of hilarious
Out of the NDA and into the fire lol
How insightful.
Movie execs wanted a scene with Batman and the Joker 😂
keaton needs a batman beyond movie
Vulture was in Morbius because of the Super Collider from Earth-1610 causing him to be warped into Morbius’s universe.
E X P A I N
wait what when does he say that
I really love Michael Keaton as an actor, and I hope that Beetlejuice 2 brings him even more success. It really disappoints me that Keaton wasn't completely honest about his cameo in Morbius. In earlier interviews for Morbius, Michael Keaton went on record as being confused at first. But he admitted that once he heard Jarod Leto say, "It's Morbin time!", Keaton wept for an hour an signed on for fifty more cameos in fifty future sequels.
I can't expain it either. It's unexpainable.
Keaton seems like he has no idea what this interview is about or for.
He clearly has no recollection of anything this guys asking except for Leto’s nonsense 😂
"Whatever works" Yeah, an actor refusing to walk to the bathroom or wipe his own ass really "works."
What?
I have a real logical idea why Vulture was there… to help advertising and keep the SM rights with Sony

I love all the Ls Sony's Spider-Man universe is taking lately
Yeah, it's like anything that is NOT Spider-Man is handled very poorly. You have to remember though, Sony did create the animated Spider-Verse movies and those win and are nominated big awards like Oscars. They also ARE in charge of making Tom Holland's movies. You can say Marvel is involved and this and that but at the end of the day Sony creates, makes and has final say on all of Tom's Spider-Man movies. They also made Toby's movies and Andrew's. So Sony ain't no slouch. We just got some side quests they flubbed.
