Thank you! This is great I've sewn on a few old sewing machines - and have been used to a few different types - but never knew the difference. Warm regards Jennie
Always a pleasure to watch your videos. Book binding machines was mentioned in a previous video. Do you have any pictures or models I could look up. Thanks Mike.
Hi Alex I live in Cambridge and need a proper technician, who I can trust to work on my Elna Su-62 Star Series. I think the hook pinion needs replacement. You are the first English person I have come across on TH-cam that I would trust with my old girl. Would appreciate any information. Thank you Anita
Hi. Alex ,thank you for your article on the singer48k . I was very exited as I have found one at an auction . That is until I viewed the pictures of them and compared it to the one I found and it’s nothing like it . It hasn’t conventional tensioner on the side and a number of other things . What I can’t understand is the serial number on this one falls very squarely in the 48k serial numbers ,it being F 567”””””” .have you any idea ?
Hi alex, im in Australia and have a beautiful wertheim planet treadle that i have refurbished. I now only need a shuttle. Do you have any hints or tips on where to find one. I am having trouble here in Australia sourcing one. Apparently my machine is a long arm pivot if that makes a difference.
Alex, would you be able to find me a feed cam for a Pfaff 7570? The shop here says they don't make them anymore. I know there are a lot of these wonderful old machines still out there. I am 81 years old and so love my old machine; please let me know. I can't afford a new machine. Diedre
Hi Alex, I am new to your channel. I had an heirloom Faultless given to me. Cannot find a model number. So far I'm told it is a rebranded National, anywhere from 1895 to 1920. It appears to have a vibrating shuttle. The machine looks intact. It went into a repair shop yesterday. I have pages of the original users manual in tatters. Would like to have a copy or close enough to help me figure out the machine and all the attachments. Do you have an email address where I can send you a photo of the machine? Thank you! ~Diane
Thank you this is very helpful
You are a great teacher, giving terrific info in an easily understood way. Many thanks
