Oh gosh Thank You So Much for this! I just bought very old Husqvarna Freja, and did not know how to put the bobbin to the shuttle. Now I know and can get on working with the precious old lady! Over all very informative and useful video, I shall be revisiting this alot!

I have an 1886 model 12 treadle that doesn’t have a transverse shuttle! Must be a new and improved model. I’m happy to have two bobbins for it and I can’t find a source to buy anymore that size. It’s smaller with a brass ring in the middle. I’m sure that you’ve seen them before Alex!

I have a Grover Baker manufactured in 1859 attached to a treadle table. It was given to me by a elder lady I used to take care of. It was in her basement and it had got wet but I have cleaned it up and the parts move great. but it is missing a front plate the covers the thread. I don't now where to get one. and maybe some more needles. I want to get it working and show my 14 year old granddaughter how to use it, she started sewing 3 years ago. And I told her when I am gone it is hers as long as she doesn't get rid of it. I hold it dear to me because it came from my dear friend Hazel who was like a Grandmother, it was her Grandmother who bought it new. Do you now where I can get the part and needles. I have followed you for awhile and love your videos. Thanks Marilyn
Hello. I love your videos! Very helpful! I would like to see a video about a machine I have that is rather rare. She is a combination VS1 and VS2. She has a black faceplate and a nut right behind the spool pin. These along with a fiddle base and carnation decals. I am sure you know about this rare lady. I have just acquired that achine the Singer 12K, it is in pretty good shape, needs new decals, but the case, it is a rectangle shape and the machine slides out from the side. I am anxious to start sewing, needs a few tweeks so I can sew, but it does turn and sounds like sewing music. Where can I get replacement decals?
Mr. Askaroff, would you have any videos on removing the balance wheel bushing on the 12? Or know where to find instructions on how to do so? I finally have the wheel moving but it needs cleaning in this area. Thank you.

I like the way the Minnesota a shuttle is set up better than I do the singer vibrating shuttle that has less moving parts. Even though I know that's not a vibrating shuttle or comparable to one

Hi Alex I have a Jones Serpentina and the needle bar came out of adjustment and I don't have the user manual. Could you give me some help on how I can adjust it again? Thank you
Hi Alex. I have a 1910 Singer shuttle and I just cant get the timing right, so the needle a d the shuttle dont meet to pick up the thread. I’ve tried to adjust underneath but the increments are so tiny! Any ideas please?

Я думала, что нитеводитель утрачен, но не первую 12k вижу без него. Пока разобрала ее наполовину для чистки. Может, начнёт шить нормально.
Do you know what the trick is to remove the balance wheel from a 12K? I've got mine working well, but the balance wheel is glued to the shaft with old oil and needs cleaning. I don't see a way to remove the stop motion knob to allow the balance wheel to come off.

If you sew a lot, you will get really tired of threading that bobbin. I have one and it is very time consuming.

I have tried to find the needles you mentioned, without success. Can you tell me where I can get them please .
Google Schmetz 46x1. There are many listings. Also, The old Boye #23 in the wood tubes is what I use for mine.
