Wow, what great memories. I have been living in L.A. since 1967 and traveled this route so many times, I remember all of these locations and how much they changed and still are very familiar. L.A. has grown so large from the times I was a young man. I wish everyone a great and happy life, may the blessing of the Lord God protect you and guide you on your life journey. Amen!
As someone that is originally from California but now I live in Daytona Beach Florida watching these videos of my home of California makes me feel less homesick I can go home whenever I want now thank you
Great memories with this video.. . Lived in LA for 10 Years in the 80's and took this exact route every evening to work at UCLA Medical Center... One early dawn I stopped to help a stranded driver and turns out he was a chef that had been catering at none other than the Playboy Mansion... However, I never got invited to go there... Unfortunately!
what a cool video. growing up in the 80's in the UK, a lot of my youth was invested in bands that made music history along this road and some of the music venues. Its incredible to see and try to picture what it would have been like when the rock scene fro the mid 80's exploded. Stories of crowds spilling onto streets, videos and interviews of bands shot along this road. Images of bands in their upcoming days. I can't get over just how wide and low so many buildings are. Being in the UK and a having to live in a smaller space means we build up. Thanks for the upload
Yeah, you’re in way over your head for a 14 year old .. I don’t know what movie or TV show you saw, but if you can’t find a decent or well paying job out there, then you won’t survive. LA would eat you up.
Did you notice how long the street was? It goes through several cities. The hip and dangerous parts are east and nearer downtown. The hip showbiz part is Holywood. The unhip expensive part is Beverly Hills. The expensive boring but nice parts to live are near the ocean. The more expensive the safer. BH is too restrictive for me. The Westside ( of the 405 fwy) is considered nice because it is near the ocean and cooler. Brentwood is where OK Simpson used to live. I used to live in Brentwood. I liked it fine. But you can't really afford a house there unless you're rich. You can tell how safe the area is by looking if there is any graffiti.

Some roads get beat up by heavy traffic. But, there is no icy freeze and thaw cycles to beat up the roads in southern California.
