    I don't know why people think that it's the music for sleeping, because I live my life with such music in my head and can sleep only in silence. This video is very aesthetic.

    I know this is made for sleeping, but if you stare at the rotating reels long enough you can have a drug free trip. A ticket direct to the astral plane! Wonderful tones.

    This s a wonderful and beautiful peace. It’s also the most appealing example of the Medusa I have found. Really fantastic. Thank you.

    So good. Is the randomisation within the medusa itself or through software

      Thanks, it‘s coming from the Medusa

    This is brilliant. I am in the market for a reel to reel for similar purposes. Did you feed the Medusa into the tape and then from there into Ableton? What kind of outs does the tape machine have? I assume unbalanced RCA.

      @ultradianmusic  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, Medusa to tape and tape to Ableton Live over RCA. But has also TRS headphone out

    Great! Is the Medusa set to poly? I think we need a tutorial for this. Can you explain a bit about this project? Bpm, and how you programmed the grid? Have a nice week! Bye Spleenex

      Thanks! Yes, it’s in poly mode. Sequencer is randomized, also LFOs. Not much more to do :)

      I'm curious as well. I saw from a previous reply that you don't do tutorials and I am new to the Medusa and willing to experiment. If you have just a few words as to how I can approach my Medusa to achieve something similar, it would be of immense use -- anything to help me learn what I suspect is an awesome piece of equipment that I am struggling to wrap my head around, is appreciated. Seriously: I am *very* impressed and had no idea that it could do that!

      Thanks, it‘s not so much a Medusa thing and you can do this with every other synth that can play randomized notes. It‘s all about finding the right sound.

    What's the purpose of tape machine?. Only récord to?

    • @ultradianmusic
      @ultradianmusic  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, for tape saturation

      @@ultradianmusic Did the same thing recently for the same reason, tape saturation! Pseudorandom mixolydian melodic piano into a Revox PR99 @ 15ips, played back on stream from an old 7" BASF reel
