People are getting upset that Sergey didn’t say much, I disagree with them. This was Erics moment to shine and his first real exposure to the Chainlink project. This was meant to be a talk where he could share his views and opinions.
What an interesting dynamic these two. Eric intuitively understands the the industry in a way Sergey can’t right now because of Sergey’s lack of experience. Yet, Sergey intuitively understands Web 3’s potential in a way Eric cannot. I hope these two have discussions like this often for the sake of Chainlink. I’m very excited to see how all of this unfolds.
Give this a like for being Efin early frens!!!!!!!!!!!! CCIP is the biggest upgrade to the history of not only blockchains but the "Internet" period. Holy moly 😮. Those who know will reap the rewards. 😎
You know what's crazy is barely anybody understands this, or even knows what Chainlink is. I've been invested in Chainlink for years and I can't believe it's still this early.
i don't think so, i think he just respects his education and experience. Sergey has talked enough about his own platform and the space, it was time for him - and us - to learn and hear from someone else when it comes to the future and broad adoption of the space. this is what needs to happen.
Eric was simply saying banal things that Sergey already thought long and hard about and it doesn't seem like a huge discovery because he had thought of it and built the company based on his beliefs already and Eric is catching up. There was no intimidation whatsoever. He was just trying not to be rude and things that Eric was saying were a huge deal - yes, they might need to be marketed better - but Sergey wants to see them working before doing wide PR. That's the difference.
@@Diana-dh3rc "but Sergey wants to see them working before doing wide PR" That's absolutely not true, they've had a CMO the entire time, they've had conferences specifically for talking about how Chainlink fits into everything, they go to other conferences, they actively post on a variety of socials, Sergey goes on CNBC International, he goes on SWIFT TV or whatever it's called. Sergey does a LOT of PR, he is just bad at doing it and can't make a conversation flow with someone who is extolling the virtues of his own company but might be a little bit behind the curve. Instead of constantly saying "yeah that makes sense," why not say "yes, you are absolutely right, and to go even further..." He is just bad at speaking when someone else with big dick energy is on stage taking up the attention.
i think all web 2 systems get replaced by web 3 systems, eric doesnt seem to think so due to lots of money sitting around in web 2, but i think he's not seeing the vision yet
So, I've watched 24 minutes now and noticed that Eric is on a whole other level. Sergey has nothing to say and nothing to add. "big deal" "you are right", that's it. I've expected more from a CEO to be honest.
If you’re here and watching this before 2024 you’re early. This will sit and age like fine wine. Keep stacking those linkies
CHAINLINK !
top signal
will do.
Still DCAing
Linkieee doggies
I was physically there and I still went back and rewatched this!
@@henryonyoutube as a dev. I brought my wife too and I am glad to say I think she now understands at least 10% of what I do now lol
Master & Apprentice vibes.
The last time Eric helped a Russian called Sergey with his search engine idea, a technological behemoth was formed

22:04 "on somebody's list" is a really deep meaning.
Wow first time I’ve ever seen sergey like this, he’s normally absolutely unfazed by the presence and opinions of anybody else
his throne is only a matter of time
I will come back to this video in a few years and realise I had made it already in 2022.
same

Got goosebumps hearing those last few statements from Eric

Man honestly this is so true, its insane!
This is really a great conversation to listen to and learn. Thank you chainlink for posting this on TH-cam for us all to watch ❤
Eric's experiences with his stories are amazing, he wants to make things simpler for the average user. That's Right
Sergey spilled so much spaghetti, this chat is a masterclass in body language and communication. Eric completely dominated the stage.

This is such an internet way of looking at things😂
i mean its frickin Eric Schmidt, anyone would be intimidated haha

this is genius. every person needs to see this
SmartCon was awesome! Chainlink is dope! This conversation right here was also epic and historical for the Web3 world!
Hell yeah brother! Hope you come next year too!
this is just incredible, its like peering into a possible future
Obviously
this is my alarm clock
Best line when he said you and I are crazy. Go Satoshi friend
Crazy fireside chat, but Sergey should start taking some lessons from Eric
What kind of lessons?
@@Bignition body language imo
Great talk, incredible to hear both of these great minds speak about web3
This video has me ready to run through a wall. What a vision.
The last 30 seconds give goosebumps. Once in a lifetime opportunity
Kudos to both, and very valuable genrous knowledge from Eric.
22:02 what list is Eric talking about?
The context was regulatory entities, the list is regulators that are looking for something to tame.

I saw this live! Thanks Eric and Chainlink!
LOVE watching that conference every 2 months lol
Shy Sergey is so cute
Build a bear
loved it. Exciting conversation.
I will put my comment here in case next 10 years i will come back to look at this amazing time! Start dca
Can anyone give examples of successful smart contract applications?
This fireside chat was /fire/. I think I alone watched it 6 times.
Simply brilliant

Why Eric choose only chainlink ? Why not eth or others? Here you go

We really are early, huh?
Amazing talk ❤
Dystopian future straight ahead
Had to rematch this video 😀👍
"Don't ask for regulation early on."
So true! 👏
The people pushing QNT need to listen to this lol
Code is more trustworthy, affordable and fast. It's unlikely any business model will be able to compete with automated code.
thanks great talk
all in
How do the bankers feel about chainlink and Web 3.0?
Powerful
Love it.
EPIC
Lots of open doors, lots of big talk, lots of sneaky marketing. Let's see this in action first.
Oh I don't know maybe Chainlinks partnership with SWIFT? That's some serious action and direction.
I see no one commenting on the fork ethw which is cheaper faster.....I think I know why....
Mogged
How many plaid shirts does this guy own ? Great talk though
From 3:30 to 3:40 👌💯👍
Yes, validations and what not, correct?
@@DrivenA111 absolutely 😎👍

why did he say "you are on someone's list"? it got awkward for a sec there
Interdasting
The problem is Scalability repeated lol.
Chainlink is setting the standards for the future of commerce.
"the article, as usual, was completely wrong"
These are cuts
invert web 3
look back at this comment in some years, you will regret not investing in Chainlink.

ETHpos is one chain that will be centralised
Why does Schmidt wear highwater pants?
that moment Sergey realizes what he got himself into ! priceless !

Only sensible comment here. Rest are bots.
lol I was at the conference. He spoke many, many, many times that day. This chat was more to highlight Eric's thoughts.
I got the feeling that he admires Eric and agreed with him out of respect for his accomplishments

I guess pointing out the centralized risk with Chainlink would not be diplomatic.
proof of work is ultimately based off laws of physics . proof of stake however on social benchmark. isnt this already weakening the protocol?
There is no such things as WEB 3. Anyone who tells you this doesn't know how the technology works.
Its basic
Total nothingburger, sorry.
enjoy all your money the chainlink team paid you to be there.
I don't trust Eric Schmidt.
Write that down. kid
