IU is literally the queen of pop in korea and the fact that she and BTS are the ones completly rulling the charts and recorsds there is so satisfying such good role models both as pple and artists!!!!

IU is pronounced each letter individually ^^ in Korean is 아이유 which is the koreanisation of IU (a-i- yu)
And this song and MV have a really beautiful meaning. IU lost some close friends last year, I don't remember if it was su1cide for all of them but yeah some sad stories, and this song is dedicated to them ^^
Now recommendation, it doesn't sound like Eight and it doesn't have an MV, but it's really good: Winter Flower (Younha ft. RM (of BTS))

there's an acoustic version of this - it's really good! interesting to hear/see the arrangement acoustically. IU's voice is amazing.

IU is a legend by herself, and she does this age series songs, Twenty three which she made about talking about how she felt at 23, Pallete which talks about her 'palette' of life when she was 25 and Eight, now that she's 28. she lost twp close friends, Jonghyun and Sulli, who were portrayed through the lizard and dragon for Jonghyun and the animated girl for Sulli, and at the start, she's saying that if there was a time machine she would go back to the times they were happy together. As the song goes on we can see the lizard disappear and the girl jumping off the cliff and being caught by the dragon, which shows Sulli being in the same space as Jonghyun and they flying away from the 'storm' they experienced which made them do what they did, and they smile at her. looking back at her fly away in the Airplane. The lyrics of this are very direct to her emotions, you should check that out too.

IU is nicknamed the "nations daughter" in Korea. She's HUGE there. Her voice and style of music is RIGHT what Korean's love. It's right up their alley. I guess you can compare her to Taylor Swift cuz she also has her guitar and sings and writes her own music and breaks records?? But a less pop version. IU is also loved by a lot of older people in Korea. Pretty much everyone from A to Z lol.
This song is a tribute to friends close to her who passed away: Sulli and Jonghyun. (both committed suicide). I really recommend it if you want to react to these two great artists who were a huge loss for Kpop.
Sulli - Goblin (her last MV) and Jonghyun - Hyeya (Y Si Fuera Ella) ( first solo song).

He’s the leader of BTS, and I think you would really enjoy his music. My favorite song is Tokyo. It’s possibly some of the most relaxing music I’ve listened to. And the lyrics are in English. That one doesn’t have a music video though. Seoul and moonchikd are also good and both have music videos.

I noticed you liked Black Swan a lot and I want to recommend another song "Louder Than Bombs" that has (for lack of a better or professional word) a haunting feeling to it and it's just amazing and the vocals are insane.
This is a kinda upbeat but really a sad song dedicated to their friends who died..eight is represent as infinity, it tells that "are you happy now?" Is a question to her friend who commit suicide,actually two closes friend of hers who died before and prior to releasing of her song eight..if im not mistaken..the girl who jumped in the mv is her friend sulli, and the dragon is her friend from the group SHINee who also commit suicide coz of depression..so yeah, a little background of the song.catchy beat but sad lyrics..

The girl with white dress running in the jungle and riding the dragon may represent Sulli. While the lizard/dragon could represent Jonghyun, who loved the Pokemon Charmander (a dragon).
