Once I am done going through it once I am planning to lead my sons through it. If you are looking for a comparison I would put the book in with Stu Weber's "Tender Warrior" and John Eldridge's "Wild AR Heart". Also my wife retucks me in at night, sorry John.

Battling the inner coward is a great one for our time. Many people put up fronts to excuse the inner coward such as their religion, their ideology on humanity, handing your responsibilities off to the govt or doctors, and your own abilities

What you should have tried was shooting into the spine of the book. Strap a few together as they should sit in a bookshelf and in many cases it will stop a bullet.
I sent this book to my grandson to guide him. This video is great in that it will show him that true conservative men have a sense of humor. Keep up the good work

John, the idea of a "book" stopping a bullet is decades old; so old there was a country song about. The Bible was the "magic" book but stopping a bullet has to do with the consistency of the paper and the thickness. Telephone book will stop a variety of rounds. Education will provide you with a range of knowledge from low speed (~ 100 m/sec) on composites to hypervelocity of tungsten and DU on RHA as well as meteor impacts at 40 km/sec. Shaped charges use the same physics but get there velocity differently. Tip speed of a deep cone or trumpet liner is near 9 km/sec. Applique packs work as the jet is turned through the pack by density change. NASA discovered thin layers work well at micrometeor impacts... Usually the first vaporizes the incoming. All of this is available to learn if you don't burn the books or block access.
A kevlar hard back book shaped and sized for a plate carrier would be something I'd unironically buy. Even if it was only rated at IIIA, the ability to have useful information at the ready while in the field would be indispensable. And it would awesome on a bookshelf too.
I've tested and seen that a ream of printing paper stops most 9 mm. So in an office situation armor up with printing paper fore and aft under your shirt. 5.56 ball is 50/50 on a reem of printer paper. No .45 ever made it through a reem.
