    You can download the Entry & Exit figures for all Tube Stations here: tfl.gov.uk/cor... if you want to see the figures for all other stations.

    I knew it was still Roding Valley. It's actually directly on the London border. If you're on the eastbound platform you're in Essex, and on the westbound platform you're in London.
    edit: i just know this because of my logic, I used google maps.

      @That Guy You could say the same thing with the Metropolitan line to Chesham/Amersham. A long time ago many underground lines extended well past London in order to connect newly built suburbs that would allow people to travel directly into Central London for work and other stuff. In fact the Central line used to continue to Chipping Ongar until 1994.

There's really not that much point is using Roding Valley beyond the very rare through train to/from Central/Grange Hill. Often thought that both with this station and Mill Hill East do you think it is least used because there are no ticket barriers? South Woodford also has a barrierless footbridge with a similar design that people use as a cut-through. There's also a stepless underpass but it's a very long and shallow slope so it saves a load of time if you just cut through the station (plus it's pretty dirty down there).

    Again with the ramps at the ends of the station platforms! That is a uniquely British thing (he says from Toronto). You can just kind of walk off into the shrubs. Or someone from the shrubs can just kind of walk on into the station!

    Is the line between Upminster and Romford considered the Overground now TFL control it? If it is I imagine that Emerson Park might be in with a shout of being the least used station on the Overground. This is going by nothing more scientific than the handful of times I have been on that line I've not seen one person get on or off at Emerson Park.

    • @caw25sha
      @caw25sha 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it is Overground now. I expect it is used mainly by commuters during the rush hour going to/from Liverpool St via Romford.

    The trains that run on through Woodford to central London are probably trains coming out of the Hainault depot to effectively start from Woodford but pick up any passengers at the stations on the loop beforehand.

    Another quality video Geoff.☺ It always amazes me that there are places like this served by the Underground. Sitting by the river, listening to the birds, you would expect passing trains to be very occasional 153s, or 156/158s a few times a day. I remember, MANY years ago, I stayed in the youth hostel at Epping Forest and found it very odd, walking out of the forest to find red buses and the tube station.
    You seemed particularly impressed by the place and your enthusiasm is infectious. The Hainault Loop is the only part of the Underground that I have never used and it's certainly on my list - if I'm ever in London again. I'm sure this video will help the passenger numbers although, over 1000 a day is still pretty good - compared to my local station.
    All the Best from Plockton(about 24-a-day☺),
