In this particular cover I think the growls are by choice because I don't think she needs to do so in the higher registers but I can't tell if it's "flat" but the lower octaves don't seem to suit her tone regardless.(my wife, who likes Haley and is a Mezzo-Soprano and pianist agreed with my assessment of some of Haley's other songs... maybe not this one)... bottom line is we can agree Haley can belt and was robbed in American Idol because people are idiots (I don't even remember if Scotty McCreery has done anything)

Hence, she needs to hire a professional to negotiate a record deal for her cause all of the big record labels are dying to sign her. Not to mention that is also the only way for her to enter big leagues where all of the mega-money is.
