My favorite part of these videos (aside from the excellent graphics) is quickly becoming the times Stephen stares into the distance as he provides his introspective commentary. It's like he is delivering a Shakespearean soliloquy, and I love it. Keep up the quality content!
I have been trying to figure out this game for over a year and a half! Because of Team Covenant I now under stand the game better!? Thank you Team Covenant!!! You guys are the best! God Bless!!
Watching this in August 2020 getting BACK into the game to find out it’s now a dead game makes me super sad 🙁 but I love other dead games so I guess that’s fine. I love having another game to consume content for anyway! 😄
So. I must admit something. When I first opened and played the first couple of Destiny games with just the core set and a couple Boosters, I was unimpressed. After playing other tabletop games, (my top two being Dominion and XWing) I failed to see the value, and depth to it. I dismissed it as a shallow, or too casual game. You guys brought me back, specifically with this video, and I'm so glad you did (although my wallet would disagree). You guys really are amazing, and I can't thank you enough for some of your content.
Wow. I am just amazed. This video is so great! Thanks for making it, and sharing your process for understanding the value of resources/damage/control in destiny. So great. I really feel like I understand the game on a different level now. So excited to go build some new decks!
Hi, very interesting video. Could you please explain how you arrived at your damage estimate per round? Why not use the total damage on the card divided by die sides (6)? And then double that for elite. I’m not following how you arrive at your estimate. Thanks
Awesome! So when I was thinking about "oh mechanics look like Heartstone ones", I wasn't completly wrong. Playing with a nice curve, working on better chances... thanks for the video! I was thinking about an Hondo deck that can ramp money to play on a damage dealer some cool upgrades... I've seen Hondo/Yoda decks but Yoda costs no less than 40 dollars. Any suggest?
Unfortunately there is just no perfect replacement for Yoda! The next best thing is a Hondo/Poe deck, which is a little different but the same kind of vibe.
Hey guys, just started watching the video but I just wanted to mention. You use the term “turn” when you should be using the term “round”. For someone learning, this could be confusing. Those are very different things in Destiny.
This, so much this! A game lasting about 5-6 turns as described in the beginning is like 1 round. The rules even use the term "round" so I have no idea where this idea about calling it a turn comes from.
With cards like Running Interference already being missunderstood with it using "turn", exchanging "round" for "turn" in a video for beginners is doing them a disservice.
It comes from every other card game out there, CWahlsten. Just old habits baked into these kinds of conversations that have been happening for the past 15+ years. Saying round is always the intent (see the blog for this chapter), but the old terminology took over in this video, unfortunately.
Guys I completely understand that you have a lot of games to talk about etc and I appreciate what you do, but for gods sake please do more Android Netrunner focused videos especially now with the new cycle out which is fantastic and definitely something worth looking in to. It's been already 3 months since you released a video where you two played against each other. We ANR fans demand more ! :-))

The best rundown is on the accompanying blog: teamcovenant.com/learning/star-wars-destiny/building-piloting-top-tier-deck

Great video! Are there decklists available for the decks you guys are playing/building?
Not yet! They will be in our next guide, which will be a gameplay video with the decks featured in this video.
Team Covenant awesome, thank you!
Where would you put indirect damage on your damage line? A formula for it?
Great question Jeff. Lets add an #AskCovenant tag here, I am sure a few other viewers are wondering that as well!
Destiny is so awesome
... Team Covenant just took me to church... thanks guys!
Good luck Nicholas! Now get out there and beat those damage curves!
Great vid guys!
Did I misunderstand the Balance of the Force errata? I thought Phasma was changed to 10/14.
You read it correctly, she was changed. Unfortunately there has been no updated graphic for her, so she still shows 9/13.

dice mitigation cards worth the cost
:D
Can you use ataru strike on Luke3?
Snaykboots Yes, you can! Because it specifies ‘resolve’ instead of ‘showing’!

We will take a look at that, thanks for giving us a heads-up.
