No. Kids should be taught LibreOffice/OpenOffice so they can be empowered. Microsoft "donates" millions of $ of MS Office to schools to make sure kids only know this and will be lifetime customers.
yes for 4 regions . let’s say there are 30 nations . with filter you can type a few letters and pick the nation straight away . in your way it will take ages to find the nation by scrolling down the list
This is really awesome. It would be great if I can get an answer for my query. Need to see the total consolidate sales amount across region wise. How to get it? Your prompt response is appreciated
You can also right click on the value you want, like South, and in the right click menu there is a Filter option, select Filter by this value (or something like that, I'm on my phone and can't verify the exact command). The point is using the filter drop down, using slicers, or using my suggestion are all OPTIONS. They all perform the same task in different ways. They all have pros and cons and each option will be better suited for different situations. Use what works bet for the situation.
You’re correct - you can right-click any cell, hover over filter, and then filter by the selected cell’s value, color, font color, or icon 😊 We totally agree that you should use what works best for your situation! Awesome response 💚
People who are making such files are most likely sharing them with others on daily basis. This alone is a great trick. You can always combine that with a macro for making this trick much much much better. Be open minded in Excel 😅
Thank you!
Slicers are a lot more intuitive to use than filters, especially on dashboards which may be used by non-technical people.

Excel should be taught in schools.
Supposedly it is but it is not sufficient.
They teach it in vocational/tech schools.
@@ggamer_xd I meant like grade school/highschool. 🤣🤣.. Kinder lol.
They taught it when I was in elementary school in 2004

Or do either, the second option is way slower if you're just quickly inspecting the data
Or if this is long term data that you will keep checking, option 2 is clearly much quicker?

Maybe pivot table ? Its even fast than your suggestion and you can add all sorts of filters. Or go to recommended pivot tables. Even easier

Good information sir ☺️,But it's not suitable for all versions
Thanks Sir
Thanks
So much work

Good
I think a pivot table with groupings is better, it might be less fancy but you don't need to click anything so saves a lot of time.
You can use slicer with pivot table too. Fancy and easy.
You dont need to go way round
Just go straight to filter
Wow
Nyc shorts
Filter dropdown is still valuable if you lotnof distinct values
