Finally someone who adds cards from the actual set.
Gotta have at least a few from the set when doing these upgrades. Too many good cards left out in every main set, and I'm not going for "best deck possible" with this. I'm going for better but flavorful and thematic.
Otherwise, there's little left of the original idea behind the deck.
Thanks for this upgrade video. I really want to keep my decks Bloomburrow-pure and this was one of the few upgrade videos that really fit that bill.
You're welcome. When possible I try to stick with thematic upgrades for precons rather than grabbing every power card. Doing that eventually warps what the original deck even was, and there's enough of that out there.
im so happy to find upgrades that are actually from bloomburrow, I kind of felt that the precon family matters doesn't have enough cute animal creatures and the cards you suggest helps with that
When possible I try to stick with in set upgrades or at least close thematically. I'm glad the suggestions helped you find cards for the precon to use.
don't forget about my boy Preston, the Vanisher! your theory on animals leaving bloomburrow keeping their animal form but morphing to better accommodate their class is solid and Preston fits the bill perfectly
This precon is definitely my favorite. While the squirrel precon does have a bit more reprint money value, that value is a bit elevated artificially due to having cards that were never reprinted. This deck has some really crazy stuff, and the "take the set mechanic and apply it to other spells" commanders (think zinnia, henzie, Angelo) are always completely busted.
Great explanation of the way offspring plays out, BTW. I've seen people get confused as to how it works. Keep in mind cost reduction can also reduce the offspring cost, so if you have 7 tokens, junk winder can be cast and offsprung all for 2 blue mana, for instance.
Personally, I plan to add more impact tremors effects, specifically on creatures that can be copied. Molten gatekeeper and witty roastmaster are must includes IMO.
Yeah. I think they did a pretty good job across the board with these precons. And those are good suggestions and tips.
I had to carefully look at the rulings because I wasn't 100% on how they worked and feeling that I was a bit hazy, I felt it was worth explaining some of the layering and triggering parts so it wasn't a missed thing for anyone who sees the video.

Glad you liked the selections. There were like 2 or 3 more but I couldn't figure cuts without taking out things I wanted to leave in. Panharmonicon got the call over Song of the Worldsoul for instance, but I had it in the initial list.
