When you fully understand someone's trauma you look at them in totally different light to what you've thought previous to that. I felt his pain when he described his situation of his siblings being killed and him surviving. It's called survivors remorse. You lose people close to where you almost lost your life as well but the guilt weighs on you and you feel as if you should've died with them
This story seems familiar here in my hometown about 6 years ago. A mother done her three or four children the same way .The oldest son was about the same age as Teak. The child was able to get away from his mother to the neighbors for help. After seeing what his mother done to brothers and sister. That scene reminded me of that summer hurtful breaking news (MEM)
@@terrenceharris-hughes4436 Yes this story some what similar. It's ironic that Big Teak had his first fight while on the Murder Tour in that city where it truly happened.
I think his character was very relatable so we felt so much pain when we lost him. Mental illness is a real issue in the black community that needs to addressed more often
Irony: Only time he smiled was in his first & last episode. In 5 episodes, he left more of an impact than most characters still alive. Salute to the actor John Clarence Stewart.
He smiled on the last episode as well when he saw joseline flying, it was good to see him actually happy and excited in that moment, phenomenal acting, I hope we see more of him

People think it is selfish to end it all but when you're in so much immense pain you just want it to end. All you want to do is be free. R.I.P Big Teak. You will be missed
The pain had become unbearable and he had made up his mind. He was settled that Lil Murda’s career had begun. He saw Murdas expression when he talked about Uncle Clifford and knew he was in love and it was the real thing. So he knew there was no place for him and didn’t want to be an imposition on Murda. He may have been crazy but he was loyal
@@jhnsn1 I know I still don't consider it selfish. It's selfish to expect people to live in pain to appease someone else. Parent or not. Mentally people are dealing with some real shit but some think you can always just push through it. That's not the case for many
He planned his suicide and was pissed as hell that Lil Murda was with him all day. People who commit suicide tends to start making closure like when he went back to his old house and telling Lil Murda he was forgiven. So sad. I experienced someone that did the same thing and this episode was well written and acted!
I think murda will “die” by his secret being exposed and he will be forced to live in his truth. Keyshawn idk, she may follow the way the play handled her character or the writers pivot, so that she can save herself.
I think lil Murda in trouble because when pico was talking to Rome and homeboy was giving murda praise for his accomplishments. Pico stated if lil murda next mixtape drop he gone owe him some Blue hunnits. Almost like he already paid for hitta to up da Draco on lil murda..smh I pray Keyshawn take out Derrick and get away with it. Hopefully she can get help from uncle cliff. If they can catch a body for Hailey disloyal azz, then they can for Key
Big Teak had more impact in 5 episodes, than Andre has had in 2 full seasons. He was volatile, but he was loyal, and clearly a tortured soul. While the revelation about his mother was new, we had already seen the impact of his imprisonment. RIP Big Teak, your presence will be missed on the show.
I understand why Teak was so upset He had problems getting used to the outside world. Also Murda did play with Teaks heart!!! Murda knew how much Teak loved him. He slept with Teak and didnt even tell him he had moved on and was in love with someone else. Teak love for Murda was deep that he killed someone for him. You can see the pain in Teak eyes when Murda was confessing his love for Clifford. Teak and Murda were each others first love. Im glad Murda did apologize though in his own way. Also Teak had alot of childhood trauma that was not resolved. On top of being a gay black man in america
This kind of reminds me of the kalief browder story. Being institutionalized is a cruel punishment for humans (especially black men) not only do they suffer in prison but have to deal with other aspects affecting their mental health. I knew it was the end for teak as soon as he got out. It was either death or going back to prison
I think you're right about Teak being upset about Lil Murda moving on to someone else (e.g. when he moved his hand away at the diner table), but I also feel like he was okay with it if Lil Murda was okay and happy. He wanted to hear about Clifford, but you're right, he wasn't able to cope with so much change on the outside, while dealing with his internal trauma. His mission was to protect after seeing his mother slaughter his siblings, but he couldn't bear those demons any longer.
Institutionized, his horror was beautifully crafted. This show was written well, which gives me as a creative max because I can’t outdo this masterpiece.
Superb character arc. The impact from those few episodes he was in… He inspired so many conversations. My husband and I saw people we knew in Big Teak. John Clarence Stewart deserves an Emmy among many other awards along with J. Alphonse Nicholson.

I even went back last night and watched all the episodes again from Big Teak’s first appearance until episode 6. Bravo! Superb acting, wonderful storyline, heartbreaking impact. Big Teak has unexpectedly become my favorite character. I knew he was battling a lot mentally because of his random outbursts. I am happy and sad, I finally heard his story. He was carrying so much hurt on his heart! All that weight caused so much pain.
It’s important they put characters in like Big Teak it shows how as black men we walk around with a lot of demons and we trained to hold it in but Big Teaks demise can sometimes be the result of that. It can be avoided by jus talking getting those feelings out. We need to teach our young boys it’s cool to cry it’s cool to talk out your problems because holding it in is self destructive.
@@rellrell9457 Word, lost a friend like that 3 days after my 29th birthday. So to see the struggle he had before he pulled the trigger just hits different bruh. Then the no more light line…. Feel like losing my friend all over again
I need see the table reading of that last scene with Murda and Big Teak. I know it wasn't a dry eye at that table. Those two Kings acted their asses off. Here it is Tuesday and Im still crying
They both said they cried reading the script. They both found out before the rest of the cast. J Alphonse said he was with his family at Barnes and Noble, when he was reading the script, and cried. They both said the emotions during the episode was real, too. They filmed the car scene on J.Stewart's last day on set.
Running parallel storylines saved the show for me. I think the show gave a voice for gay black men who choose to live their lives privately, struggles with additional layers to be successful, adjust to life after incarceration or forget perceived insurmountable trauma. We needed another layer to see other than Uncle Clifford….Domestic violence is being addressed very delicately realistic, but to layer it with an interracial relationship was interestingly smart. This show is certainly going beyond the obvious stripper dynamics……👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Amazing to see his character displayed on screen, because there are so many Big Teaks in the world. Loved him, but hated the ending…but, it is the reality of things. Hope Clearance gets plenty of great roles.
Big Teak character has touched so many people in real life and I am so glad they chose him to play out the character it was great! So sad that murda had to witness a love one of his go out like that
The fella always looked like he needed a long, hot shower, but I commend him for all his efforts. He was a nice guy with an infectious smile and he'll definitely be missed.
This hit hard !! A child with disability bipolar issues r a child was in a abusive family r witness a ride from parents grow into that life style become the product of their involvement..they feel like they r the blame which they not cause of their mindset and decades is depression they can't be reached they made up their mind they don't belong u can love them with everything they got Kno That..can u love them too much r less .. good heart Bright mind but carried generational curse
I felt like we, the audience, were done wrong in this episode. We got a two minute explanation of Big Teak's childhood trauma and his demons, and two minutes later, his suicide. That wasn't just commanding emotion, that was beating up on us! I could've taken this ending easier if we saw the conflict over Murda, and then him giving up if Murda picked Uncle Clifford. I believe Murda could possibly have picked Teak, because they had real love for each other. The conflict would also have made it more clear that Murda wasn't just trying to talk him down when he said we got each other, and he wasn't going nowhere. If we went through Murda's conflict, we could see his desperation at the end, and if he really picked Uncle Clifford, we'd know he was just lying to talk Teak down and get him help. Or he could be sincere and have Teak. Uncle Clifford could survive without Lil Murda. Or not. I just think there was much more story to be told than a quick exposition and a suicide two minutes later.
Yes yes and yessss!!! Like after I heard his story I wanted more and more. But my guess is maybe they brought murda and uncle together to experience the pain of lost together since it looks like uncle’s grandma about to pass???
@@shamf9672 yes, I see that coming too, but, like suicide, it seems like the easy way out. The show will probably go on for a while. The writers could've given us more story. They took the easy way out.
The fact is that’s how the creators of the show want you to feel. Like everything was left unfinished. Like it was unfair because BT could’ve added soo much to the story. That’s how it feels when someone decides to end their life. Everyone left behind feels there could’ve been so much more.
Big Teak had serious childhood trauma. No child deserve abuse period. I felt so bad for him. I will miss seeing him. He’s a phenomenal actor and hope to see him in other tv shows.

I thought the same thing. I don’t trust him. He has shown he will do anything to protect his pockets. Killing Rome was for his benefit, not Key or Lil Murda.

When Big Teak said he was so tired in the last episode, I felt that deep in my soul. 😢🥺
Big Teak has unexpectedly become my favorite character. I knew he was battling a lot mentally because of his random outbursts. I am happy and sad, I finally heard his story. He was carrying so much hurt on his heart! All that weight caused so much pain.
Instead of mental therapy he got institutionalized
Big Teak stole the show!!!!!! Stole it and ran! And that's a hard thing to say because the cast is STELLAR!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE Big Teak R.I.P.!
It's so many people walking around here just like Teak and they don't know what to do
It’s important they put characters in like Big Teak it shows how as black men we walk around with a lot of demons and we trained to hold it in but Big Teaks demise can sometimes be the result of that. It can be avoided by jus talking getting those feelings out. We need to teach our young boys it’s cool to cry it’s cool to talk out your problems because holding it in is self destructive.
This season is 🔥 but super emotional
7:17... I felt that.
This episode had me messed up. Great acting 👏🏾
Aye you aight?
@@xiuemiko Yea, appreciate you asking.
True! I tear up every time I think about Big Teak. I’m actually grieving.
@@rellrell9457 Word, lost a friend like that 3 days after my 29th birthday. So to see the struggle he had before he pulled the trigger just hits different bruh. Then the no more light line…. Feel like losing my friend all over again
Loyal till the end 🤍😔 Rip Big Teak ☝🏽
Big Teak deserves this video🥺🙏🏾
I need see the table reading of that last scene with Murda and Big Teak. I know it wasn't a dry eye at that table. Those two Kings acted their asses off. Here it is Tuesday and Im still crying
They both said they cried reading the script. They both found out before the rest of the cast. J Alphonse said he was with his family at Barnes and Noble, when he was reading the script, and cried. They both said the emotions during the episode was real, too. They filmed the car scene on J.Stewart's last day on set.
Man that was a powerful and sad episode
He made such an impact in such a short time.
Man this video jus made it apparent the role Teak played….low key one of the most powerful characters on P Valley acting wise
Big Teak man 😭😭 I’m going back to Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist to watch him sing again 😩
Big Teak gave a stellar performance! Thank you Mark Dark for your summary of this riveting episode. We appreciate You King!👏
I miss him already . Gone way too early
Amazing to see his character displayed on screen, because there are so many Big Teaks in the world. Loved him, but hated the ending…but, it is the reality of things. Hope Clearance gets plenty of great roles.
Big Teak went from being hated to loved!!! Superb acting!!!
When Teak grabbed Murda’s nose and said “you’re forgiven” 🥺😭😤😩
No lie I felt tears for big T. You never know what people demons they dealing with.
Rest easy Big Teak. My heart goes out to him, such a tragic childhood
RIP Big Teak🤍🕊
Amazing episode and writing.
Big Teak character has touched so many people in real life and I am so glad they chose him to play out the character it was great! So sad that murda had to witness a love one of his go out like that
R.I.P. Big Teak! My heart is broken💔… HVH Forever!
The fella always looked like he needed a long, hot shower, but I commend him for all his efforts. He was a nice guy with an infectious smile and he'll definitely be missed.
Hurt Ville Hustla til the casket drop. #HVH4L
I can't believe his mother killed his siblings and would have killed him,had not he ran for his life😪 R.I.P Big Teak
I suspect that she may have been dealing with Postpartum psychosis, since her youngest child was just 8 months. Or maybe she was just evil. 🤷🏾♀️
Fucked up aint it?
It’s a true story
That was base on a true story. Ironically Big Teak actually had a fight scene in this particular city. On the Murder Tour...Memphis
Happens everyday 😔
I love this channel. You pumping out the content
I cried I knew he was battle depression 😢
Great job John John more great roles to come for you man.
And last time I checked aren't that monogamous. Go have a threesome if it's that serious.
You feel exactly how the writers want you too. It's no closure to suicide
Rip big Teak love the video Marc dark stay motivated Dream big 1 mill on the way he had Demons
Loved big teak man he definitely had an impact on this season and i wish he didnt have to go
Big Teak did a phenomenal job 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Great acting. Hope to see him soon 🙏🏾❤
This man is such a wonderful actor! I wish him and his career the best! 💯❤️👑
Last episode was raw
Big Teak had serious childhood trauma. No child deserve abuse period. I felt so bad for him. I will miss seeing him. He’s a phenomenal actor and hope to see him in other tv shows.
Do yall think Woddy will try to do something to Uncle Cliff? Yall remember Season 1 when Woddy said" Love cant get in between us getting this money" after he seen Murda and Cliff coming out bushes together. We seen Woddy kill Rome , and even threatened to " Take Care" of Big Teak. What yall think Woddy going to do in regards to Murda and Cliff if they become a couple for real.
Woddy only did that because Rome tried to rape Keyshawn
I thought the same thing. I don’t trust him. He has shown he will do anything to protect his pockets. Killing Rome was for his benefit, not Key or Lil Murda.
Oooh thats a good observation and question
Nah, Woddy only hurts people when he has to. He has a lot of faith in karma & right/wrong, so he wouldn’t kill someone innocent.
@@WilliamsPinch exactly. Lmaooo they trying to make Woddy a bad person. He a real one💕 that's it
This definitely hit home R.I.P BIG TEAK
I really cried for Big Teak!!! Just how he expressed himself, his views on how the world sees black of all walks of life!!! I felt bad he was struggling and felt he had nobody to love him..but he will b missed R.I.P Big Teak💗
MurDa an frie notationds loved him
Watching this made me realize Marc really hated the Rome character. He did not have any Remembering Rome videos 😂
😂😂😂
I just realized that Lil Murda's fingerprints are all over that gun. It's about to be a bumpy ride!😭😭
Forensics can prove it was self inflicted
@@taetheplug ,that doesn't matter. Nobody wants to be questioned by the police after experiencing that type of trauma.
