One washed is NOT sanforized it is, however preshrunk. Sanforization is a very particular process of treating with chemicals to preshrink the denim before construction. One wash jeans are Unsanforised and have most of the aesthetic benefits of Unsanforised denim as they have shrink after construction. The shrink is 90% out though so you don't get as much control over the fit of your jeans. Their main benefit is easier sizing and the ability to hem more confidently.

Yeah I've had stretchy Levis and they fall apart and don't look great, but when you go this high quality I think it's worth rolling the dice, esp because they're under $250
I have 3 Japanese selvedge denim pants with 2% strech as well, from gstar, which is my favorite denim brand(that i have access too, since most of the brands you review are from the us and dont have shops in europe). The price was really good at around 200 dollars or so, keeping in mind that is japanese selvedge denim and g star is well known in europe as a brand name and the pants are very long lasting, durable and eco friendly and made from really good quality of organic cotton. The are ultra comfy and they have the same fit as the ones on the vid, relaxed tapered. I have another pair from this brand which is from italian selvedge denim, around the same price but that one is 100% cotton, so way stiffer(considering italian selvedge is also stiffer compared to japanese). Now while i get that elestane is not as durable of the years , but considering that only loses its structural integrity at a percentage of 17%-20 over a period of 4 5 years, the whole pant will lose its structural integrity at a percentage off 0.4%. I mean come on, i get that selvedge denim is all about long lasting but it will take you 15 years to lose over 1% of its toughness. unless it means the whole pant loses durability at around 10-20% which is a lot in that case. Regardless i the comfort really amazing. i love jeans but i also love to be comfy and these are a greta compromise, plus i love how the look and fit.
Oni Denim is my favorite brand of denim! The Secret Denim are my go to (not the stretchy version you got). Blue in Green is a amazing shop, the staff is super friendly!
Good review! My input on washing: machine washing is okay, just definitely don't wash them with anything light the first handful of times, and remove the jeans before the spin cycle. Hang them up to dry (preferred) or tumble dry low if you can't be bothered with that. Natural castile soaps are great in my experience (e.g. Dr. Bronner's liquid soap) or Woolite Dark for a cheaper alternative.

The denim is definitely interesting. I feel like... I'd be weird. I'm used to stiffness in denim. Especially when I purchuse "heavyweight" but, I can see these being a great wear on a lazy winter day :)

Selvesge but not raw, you’d only probably get with the mass brands. Uniqlo has a line of washed selvedge skinny jeans which are super comfortable.
