1. What should you not do if you have to score a 700+ in the GMAT?
Here is my take on what most of us end up doing when thinking of a GMAT. I made this mistake and I see a lot of us in the same boat. Better to learn from my mistakes than commit it yourself.
2. Do test prep classes or courses really help?
It depends. I have been on both sides of the argument. I started preparing on my own and then something changed and I decided to join a GMAT prep class. Listen to what made me change my belief that a GMAT test prep class will do me good.
3. What did I do different in my ISB application essays?
I did not have much time to work on my essays. I did not take any assistance to edit my application essays. I took my second GMAT on Dec 28, 2019 and R3 deadline was on Jan 1, 2020. So, I had only one thing going for me - and I used that effectively in my essays.
4. What was my take on the ISB interview?
You can only prepare so much for an interview. The standard questions - you can have a canned answer. What about the ones that come up that are out of the ordinary. So, I decided to do some basic prep and was prepared to be mentally tuned into the interview process as it was happening instead of double guessing what it is likely to be. Again one thing worked well for me. Watch the video on my interview strategy.

I am 35 years old B. Tech guy with 10 years workex in IT currently on cloud. Can i go for gmat and target isb? Will ROI worth?
I am 30 yr old and have 1 year IT and 6 years banking (govt bank) experience, do I have good chance for one yr mba from ISB ?
Why didn't you applied for IIMA.. I think the second option that is Spjain require five years exp but IIMA require only 4 yrs exp

@@Rai_Aditya Thanks for the reply.. I had one more question.. Is it a disadvantage for the engineers who have exactly 2years of experience? Do they have to score more than 720 for getting admission in ISB?
Usually, pandemics and recessions cause MBA Applications to grow exponentially.. so keep that in mind and try and score your best. 2 years of work ex right now would become 2.5yrs by the time you join, so that seems adequate.
