- Have you been playing Battlefield 2042 wrong this whole time? That's a comment i received from a recent video and it makes so much sense. We are always comparing the best parts from previous Battlefield titles that we sometimes don't have fun playing whats in front of us. I'm guilty of this also, Especially with BF1 and BF Hardline. Thankfully i didn't make the same mistake with BF2042.

You know, i was a bit miffed with bf2042, but then i found your channel. And it certainly changed the game for me. I started trying stuff, like knife kills, etc, and it was a hoot. I am nowhere as good as you, i am old and my reflexes suck, but i have been having a blast lately. Killing someone with the grappling hook? Never would have thought of it, but i also never laughed so hard. Keep it up, sir, keep the vids coming
Ever since checking out the latest news on 2042, I've been seeing these Squid-G recommends coming up. And I highly enjoyed watching this video! Very entertaining, hilarious, and fun. This is the kind of fun that makes battlefield battlefield. Thanks again for the uploads.

Lack of maps and a server browser is what annoys me the most now.
ive played every single battlefield, did competitive bf3, and this is the only battlefield I havent played mainly cuz I just dont play games these days. I plan on gettin back into it... Found your channel cuz I miss top tier gameplay, and I love what you do! Reminds me of how I used to play cept I sucked at jets. My favorite thing used to be to play agressive PTO sniper, with a x6 scope, bolt action. The throwing knife looks like it would be my favorite thing to have. Glad people still see the quality battlefield has always been.

Right on man. I used to get so pissed at people for ignoring objectives, medics not healing, engineers spawn and run away from transport under fire, and the list goes on…. I’m very objective oriented and hate to lose.
But you are so right and you can’t change the way people play …. It’s about adapting.
Watching you just have a blast reminds me to just chill the f out and have fun.

wish more saw that when this game came out sadly in the end we just ended up repeating history, so here's to the next Battlefield hopefully we can learn from are mistake and support the game when it is at it is worst and not go back to a previous game that already had it's support
The beginning was really tragic with bugs but since around season 4 it was really really fun to me. I don't care what others are saying, i loved bf3, bf4 and 2024 as well
Squid thought me that unlike bf 5 bf 2042 is a whole other deal and my bf 5 skills won't work in 2042 , also credit to this man for making me good at this game

If anyone could get 3 throwing knife kills in 1 Sundance flight it’s Squid! I’ve seen two frequently but never all three knives… could be wrong but it would be an absolutely epic clip! This was the closest I’ve seen.

I absolutely agree, enjoy the game for what it is. I was disappointed in the under devloped game at release and promised feature that are not in the game. The game is a lot of fun if one just stop comparing to other BF games. I'm old enough to have played games long before there was a BF franchise. Thanks the great content Squid.

honest question, at the intro you were in a corner waiting for enemy. Is that not camping? I personally like the challenge of being a sniper. Trying to find a good hide and taking out enemy without danger to myself. I mean, in battle, you want to get the other guy and preserve yourself and your team. But 'camping' is frowned upon in this game. I'm a 58 year old gamer that is new to gaming and am just trying to get some clarity on the terminology and the etiquette. Love the channel!

I regret waiting until coming back to watch your vids after a ling break to try 2042. I've had it on gamepass forever but never bothered installing it. I have had so much fun with 2042 the past two days since trying it. I've always been a fan if bf but this one seemed gimmicky to me but I qas so wrong. Forget the objective. Just get creative and mess around. Imo it's the most run I've had in bf to date.

There are no people on this game it’s a shame to struggle to find games full of players
Played it at launch, had a bad PC so I had to drop it. Got a series x to play it on... Oh. No mouse and keyboard support. So then I went ahead and just didn't play it at all. I 100% would've gotten hooked had such a basic feature have been added.
I goofed right from the start and made stupid things. Always was a horrible teammate as I’m not going for the objectives.
Loved the game from the start, and still a major fan.
Can still just drink coffee and wait for some base campers, then pay them a visit with C5 or some other candy.

Bf3 was the best times! 64 players in Teamspeak was so much fun on a great server. Nothing like it now, but this game at least finally feels like BF3/4 days.

for me its not that it doesnt play like previous games its that it doesnt really feel like battlefield at all. the mechanics and gunplay give me CoD warzone vibes. theres something about it that lacks the raw feeling of previous titles. they all had their own way of playing but they all felt raw if that even makes sense.

I don't have a broken mouse input. I definitely think it all depends on the mouse brand. That's why they can't fix it. I use a steel series Rival 650 wireless 👍
Camping snipers are the most hilarious group of players in this game.
Battlefield in my mind is just as fun as gta 5 ! I play bf alot more as a matter of fact! And definitely beats cod in so many ways
I go back to bf5 and 2042 is so much better. I did go back to bf4 and game is still great but had its issues much like 2042.
People who hate this game is actually people who cannot afford to buy and their crappy with skill issue too.

@@cosmicboi1650 only done that once. On BF1. Right at the beginning of a match. I wasn't ever ADS. Just a random sky shot. I ended up head shooting the pilot....
BF2042 is only good/fun when you play it. When I play it, getting shot through a hill or when prone behind a rock is something I got used to at this point.

It's one of the reasons a single player campaign is such a HUGE part of Battlefield games and why BF 2042 has had such a hard time. Playing through the campaign is how you're supposed to learn how gameplay techniques have changed.

People will never be satisfied, and they only want it to look like the previous one and that makes no sense, personally I love B2042, those who don't like it, then simple, they can continue playing B1, B5 and B4 and that's it, no It is mandatory to play it.
