    Hi, we do own a Keysight E3634A DC power supply. May I know in order to utilize the BenchVue tool, how do I go about setting it up? I tried to use a USB to serial cable connecting my PC to the power supply's RS232 port but it doesn't seem to work. Please advise. Thank you :)

    do you mind if I ask, what kind of electronic/dummy load do you use? the one in the video with analog indicators?

      The instrument in the video with the analog indicators is a variable ac source - it is used to show that changes in the ac line voltage did not effect the output. We loaded the output of the power supplies with a resistor. In other videos we have used an electronic load. The electronic load is pretty sophisticated, we use it to test the response to load variations.

    with a source of this type can I have a voltage of .86v and limit the current to 0.0001A? or the current is adjusted depending on the voltage? I would appreciate your response

      pepito .n It is really difficult to measure and limit current to 100 uA. The E3630 series are high power bench supplies 120 to 200 W. So, they are not ideal for sourcing low voltage and setting a low current limit. Without spending a fortune we offer the E36100B single output and the E36312A triple output power supply which can have a 1 mA current limit and both have a low current measurement range. On the low current range, they can resolve to 1 uA.
