I have read that the ending "po angielsku" is "dative/archaic". Please can you explain more about the word po (after?) and the u ending here some time? ( Your Mowic word lecture)
We need to explore the topic bit more, I guess, because I am not sure where this one comes from but, basically, it is used only in such phrases 'po staremu', 'po polsku', in particular with languages

I have also encountered this preposition "po" in " po poludniu" meaning" in the afternoon" but when I look up the definition of "po" it is down not as "in" but "after".Regarding "Mowi po polsku" I am unsure what purpose "po" serves because "Mowi polsku would seem sufficient for meaning. ie I speak Polish rather than I speak in or after Polish. Confusingly odd, isn't it?
