Shout out to JT for being such an awesome catcher and being able to integrate Lorenzen into the fold so quickly. People don't always consider how the catcher and pitcher have to have a good connection to make it work!
I was up there with my daughter. My birthday and her first Phil’s game.. what a great time and unbelievable game. Witnessed a no hitter and 3 Phil’s bombs. A birthday I’ll never forget!
I've been watching him since his freshman year as a Titan. He is one of the most phenomenal athletes to come out of college but unfortunately he never found his footing. Between batting, relief and starting, he just didn't seem to have a place to ground his career. Moments like this and the dad game, Michael is really leaving a legacy on the field for those who pay attention.
WooHoo Lorenzen!! ♥️ u earned this moment in history! Kudos to Rojas, Casty, Wilson + JT + the whole team for helping him reach this historic no-hitter! GOO PHILS 🙌🙌♥️♥️
@@hamhockbeans31 when you factor Lorenzen takes care of his body really isn’t that old. I would agree if it was a player like harden who doesn’t take his health seriously.
With all the storylines of this game, seems to be overlooked that centerfielder Johan Rojas, made both the first and last put outs of the game. Bound to be a trivia question sometime in the future.
I’ve NEVET teared up watching a game outside of the 2008 final out of the WS but today had my eyes watering several times. Emotional. Weird. Go Phillies!
Man, I continually am amazed by this team. Every game it feels they have the ability to do something really special. Regardless of where this season ends up going, I am so damn proud of how hard this ballclub has played and more importantly, how they've stuck by each other all season long. They truly feel like a family. Also so incredibly proud of our fans. Go Phils!
I know topper has some moves that make you question, but I love this man. He is there for the boys. It’s never about him. Just such a difference between him and Joe. Love this guy
Happy for Michael, glad he settled in well after leaving the Tigers and continued on with his great season. Huge congrats to him and the Phils from this met fan.
Amazing. I always thought that Topper was a manager who would take out a pitcher sooner rather than later so that they will feel better about themselves. This was different . He gave the kid a chance to fulfill his dream. .This will play great in the clubhouse. PS - Never shake off your catcher - See Bull Durham.
I did have a prediction about this. I thought Wes Wilson is gonna homer in his first MLB at bat or Michael Lorenzen will have a no hitter. When Wilson hit a home run, I had goosebumps but when Lorenzen had a no hitter, I f#$_king lost it!!! 😮😮😮
Love you guys and appreciate the content. This would have been nice to see last night though instead of having to search other content creators for the No No. Not living in eastern PA anymore, I rely on you guys for my breakdowns. Forced down a rabbit hole of boot leg videos and prob have some deadly virus now...
Remember that scene in Rocky where Apollo is doing desk work and his trainer sees Rocky training on the TV? He's like, "Apollo, this guy is serious." Apollo says, "Yeah, Yeah..." Watch out everyone.
Last year the big management move was resting wheeler for basically the last month of the season. This year I think they need to continue to have a 6 man rotation. It really rests these pitchers arms which were going to need once the playoffs start! Red October hereeee we come!
Who knows how this season will play out (hopefully with a parade down Broad St.)...but regardless, this is a very special group of players and coaches. Congrats to Michael Lorenzen, Weston Wilson, and Nick Castellanos. What will they do for an encore tonight?? GO PHILLIES!!!
Have to echo that Mike knew alot of the players before he joined the team also pitching coach used to work with him on another team. Nats also never been no hit as a newer franchise since expos 1998
The dumbest thing the GM can do in the next six weeks, send Lorenzen down to Lehigh Valley Oh you have a starter. If Philly has to bow to Aaron needing the baseball, nake Lorenzen the long man in the playoff Philly management says "... If they play .. we will find a spot for them. Guess what. 17 innings and 2 earned runs... He has his spot
Bryce Harper missed the 1st month and like 3 days Johnny, not 2 months+. I love the Phillies and I’m glad Bryce is starting to get into a rhythm but don’t make it like he’s barely played this season. He only missed a month. I think he should’ve waited a little longer to get into the lineup and I think how he’s batted up until a few weeks ago shows that he could’ve used a little more time to heal but like I said, missed a month, not 2+ months.

It seemed like he called most of the game too
Lorenzen is a ridiculously likeable guy.

It's hard to explain. For anyone that can read between the lines of Lorenzen's career knows this was a magical moment.
Same here between Wilson's family and Lorenzens family very emotional. Games like that are why I love the game of Baseball.

Definitely shouldn’t have traded for him, but boy am I glad they did!
I can't believe people wanted rob Thomson head gone, now people love him
Topper has had a lot of questionable moments this year ...
Rob in the post game interview said he was going to take Lorenzen out if he walked that last batter no hitter or not.
@@Blowfish_homicide I understand but come on every manager goes through that... Keep in mind is 162 games in a season
