Now THIS is a review! No-nonsense and straight to the point. The Overland is a good Goldilocks trim for the GC. And I love that Jeep allows buyers to get with or w/o the offroad gear still after all of these years. Its truly in a class all its own; even more so in the Summit Reserve model.
I think this Outlander model is the best bang for the buck. I’m having mine delivered Saturday fully loaded with the Hemi. I worry about reliability only but Jeep seems to have improved in that facet. I’ve had 2 Wranglers with no problems prior.
I dont love the new rear 3/4 design, but looks good in black. Definitely the color I’d choose for one of these. Curious how the Altitude trim of the 2 row WL looks.
I really like how you can hear the Hemi rumble and burble at idle. It's not loud or obnoxious, but it reminds you it's there. Even in a modern SUV, where all the companies are trying hard to make them quiet and refined on the inside, you still get some character from this drivetrain. Say what you want about Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram Fiat Stellantis or whatever they're called now. They've always been good at that, and they don't really play fake engine noises like other companies. That is such an awful fad.
This Jeep is so comfortable. With the higher upgrade packages. You get heat and cold lumber massage seats. I have nerve damage in my tailbone and so I need a really comfortable seat. I tested 25 passenger seats from cheaper and much more expensive luxury brands. The massage systems in other brands have. None compared to the Jeep. I fell asleep in it. During the test drive. So if you have a bad back and want to drive longer then 3o min get one.
Love the straight forward review!!!! Now I am wanting to trade my 2016 GRAND CHEROKEE. Went from a Toyota 4runner to the JEEP and will never go back. Had many issues with the Toyota but they did fix all the issues just wasn't impressed after that. Have had little to no issues with the JEEP so I have been very happy with the product. Go JEEP GO
Hello AutoNetwork. Good walk around and drive video for the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. That's nice you were able to get your hands on the Overland trim. Also nice that this one came equipped with the legendary 5.7 liter HEMI V8 engine. Very nice features in the vehicle. One thing I noticed was the cargo space improved over the outgoing fourth generation Jeep Grand Cherokee which is good. The Overland trim for either the Jeep Grand Cherokee or the third row seating Jeep Grand Cherokee L is a good trim level someone can choose to buy if they don't want the highest trim and don't want one of the lower trims. The Overland trim is somewhat in the middle which is good. One of the features that wasn't demonstrated in this video was the infotainment screen for the front passenger. That's a nice feature right there. I think it's a 10.25 inch screen, but I could be wrong. They basically borrowed that from the bigger luxury brother Jeep Grand Wagoneer which is good. The Grand Wagoneer is a beast. Last week I saw it at a dealership in the Series Three trim. Very nice. Late last month the Grand Wagoneer and Wagoneer started arriving at dealerships. I'm looking forward to you doing videos on them. Between the new two row version Jeep Grand Cherokee and the third row seating Jeep Grand Cherokee L, my choice would be the Jeep Grand Cherokee L. One thing I liked when I test drove the Jeep Grand Cherokee L back in the summer was that while driving it, it didn't feel like a third row seating vehicle which was good. A clear indication Jeep did a great job with the overall weight distribution of the vehicle. The Jeep Grand Cherokee L I will get, but not yet though. I'll get either the second or third year of the new generation. That way it'll give me more time to put some money aside for it and also couple more standard features will get added. In addition to that any bugs, kinks or knick knacks that rise to surface now during the first year will more than likely disappear in the second or third year. When the time comes I'll get the Jeep Grand Cherokee L in the Overland trim nicely equipped with the HEMI V8 engine. I'll get the 20 inch rims which is more stylish and get the optional gloss black roof for more appearance style. Should be GRRREAT!!

OK, I saw your video a couple months ago. A few days ago a dealer had one of these on their website. I went in for a look and they said it will be in by the end of the month. They didn't try to screw me over on the price or my trade like other dealers have, so I ended up depositing $1,000 bucks on it. Sometimes I have some regrets, especially with gas prices going up.
Can't wait for them hit the dealerships. Just don't like the black bar across the front of the grill on the overland or on the L models. Prefer the open grill look. Beautiful vehicle over all. Thanks for the video.

It’s actually very much luxury that’s why all the higher trims levels on vehicles come with it/have it as an option and basically every base trim new car is just black. Black everything and so basic..hence base trim.
Great video I'm so surprised that there's not more videos of this trim level. The Overland with the off-road package that's the one available in the L version as well. I'm curious this did this one have side front passenger screen (looked like it did) and it compares to the TrailHawk trim level

I like your video very much but still confused about passenger display, despite comments about it here. Does this model have it or not? I've tried to figure it out on Jeep web site but I can't figure it out there either. Older than dirt and cyber challenged guy here. Video shows the outline of where the screen would be if it has one. I wish they would update that 5.7 Hemi. I drove the previous Gen, it was pretty fast. On paper it makes 360hp, but in the Ram 395. They could easily have put the Ram version of this engine in the GC and declared it an update.
How was the handling? I believe jeep took the chassis system from the alfa romeo stelvio (a car which I have now and love,) and was wondering how to effects the handling/cornering on a jeep. Obviously jeeps traditionally have terrible handling which is why I was particularly excited about that update on this new model.

That D pillar gives off too much of a Chrysler Pacifica vibe. Front is sharp. The previous model was actually sharper and a bit better balanced all around.
Such a nice update to the interior. Jeep is destroying Toyota with its product lineup. Look at this compared to a 4Runner. How much longer will Toyota be able to ride the outdated reliability claim when they just had a recall over cracked engines? JEEP 👍🏻🇺🇸🇮🇹🇫🇷
BUYER BEWARE. This vehicle is a death trap. I have the Overland L model, and a week ago, the automatic emergency braking slammed on, bringing the car to a dead stop. There was nothing in front of me. Luckily nothing behind either. The car just decided to slam the brakes on. We were all shaken. What if this had been at highway speeds? The dealer gave us the usual, we can't replicate, there are no service bulletins or codes. So they didn't fix anything. Their advice was, switch the system off. We shouldn;t have to. Besides, it was the computer that decided to brake because there was nothing to sense. This happened ten days after the car failed to start. The breakdown guy said it wasn't a battery issue, but electronics. The dealer said there was nothing wrong. Jeep need to own up to this!

Sir it's the small things that annoys me about this video. I just very detailed oriented. First you was struggling to get the door open where you charge your phone. Secondly the lever to unhinged the hood. You almost tore it off. Then third pulling up the hood wasn't a one shot for you. Those things can be taken out by some Editing.
There's no better looking suv than a shiny, clean black Jeep GC , except for one in midnight sky blue :)

There is no passenger display on this one.
At 8:19, the power button and port for the passenger screen are on the top right of center console.
Is this the final production model, or preproduction?
