Let’s not forget that it’s not just sport that Rolex looks to for brand ambassadors - there’s also the arts, specifically the most rarified: opera. Opera singers are used in their ads; they also sponsor the Salzburg Festival, about the most prestigious opera festival in the world.
As a Rolex owner, not a bad overall summary of the brand's history. Would have been nice to see a bit more about how they pivoted from being a tool with luxury elements before the quartz crisis of the 70s, into being more of a luxury icon with a tool-ish history. But either way, it's clear they were onboard very early with the idea of "aspirational luxury" Couple of quick notes: at 8:11 Rolex has a partnership with Formula One itself, not with the Mercedes team (the Mercs partner with IWC), and at 6:39 check your pronunciation of "Federer". 😀
great video, i think ou should change your thumbnail and put well rich ppl instead of the others you have. this should bump up views by aa ton! bcuz new ppl wont click bcuz they dont know who you guys are.
People always wanted Rolex even before the hype. but I get what you're saying. The poor person mentality is why Rolex is so popular. lets say i had enough to buy one steel model Rolex. Most ppl who saved and is buying one watch for the rest of their life will try to buy a Rolex instead of buying what they want. There's other brands at that price point but people who can only buy 1 watch will always go Rolex. People who can buy multi luxury watches in a life time just buy what they like.

People are buying the name. Not the watch. Plenty of better watches out there. For a lot less.

Wearing a Rolex says: I am a bag of douche and a ball of goof
