I would put up a small pavilion by fireplace. And a picnic table. I old guy hunt sitting wide open with my bow and flannel. Spooked a few with draw on my 70lb bow. I plant fruit trees and the deer are more like pets than wild animals. They are very use to us including kids and dog. It's nothing to be at picnic table and have deer almost walk up to us in S.E. MI. Central U.P. it's a different story. They are spooky but not of humans. More spooky because of other predators. So it's a longer shot usually. I did manage to get close pre bow season to my bear bait with deer on it. Did the smart thing and reversed coarse. didn't spook them. I don't like putting pressure on bait few days before bow season.
