Kent County -- went much the same only more snow. Snowed from Tues. AM to Sat. PM. Went out Sunday. Never saw so much snow (depth) with no drifting in southern Mich. Tough on these old legs. Waiting for muzzle loader season, now. Nice video.
Thank you for the compliments! Our property is north of the limited firearm line in Michigan’s LP, so I was using my 30-06. Hope you’ve had a fun season so far!
@@RichOutdoors o yea great season for me so far. Tagged out on a 4 point and an 8 point. My nicest 8 point 19 3/4 wide. On doe patrol now trying to get my brother his first deer as well.
nice video, love the snow. wish we would've had some of that up at our camp in the U.P. the deer stick out so awesome when theres snow. looks like you had some action. thanks for taking us along and sharing it with us. new subscriber!!!!
I was wondering the same thing, about that or maybe having ice stuck in its hoof or something. But there were times between the jumping where the deer looked completely fine
18:04 Every time he snorts, snort back. Does it work every single time? Nope, but it works often enough... Just make sure you pay VERY close attention for the next 30-45 minutes after the last snort.
Deer was not mad or confused about smelling danger. You got busted & that was likely your only opportunity. Most hunters have experienced this 100 times over.
I appreciate it! I make sure that I’m 100% committed to shooting whatever I’m going to shoot. Glad to see more outdoorsman showing the same respect to the hunt!
Thanks for the support everybody! I tagged a buck this week at camp! Subscribe and keep an eye out for that video soon! You don't want to miss it!
Here, I use Cedar oil to cover my scent. Deer NEVER smell me. I'd look for Pine oil, or boil some pine for spray. Should help.
if you have never had a buck snort at you like that... it is LOUD! That is some great footage man. Love the video.
I swear every deer within a mile heard it! Thanks for the support!
That young spike was just frisky , feeling good with the fresh snow. He was feeling good shedding some good energy thank God you didn't shoot him 👍
Young deer love playing in that first snow fall.
It looked like he was having fun!
Thanks for the Hunt been in The Philippines for 15 years and Miss it so much.
Glad I was able to share the experience with everyone. Thanks for watching!

Gees yeah after first few days couldn’t see 50 yards in the woods in Grand Traverse County. Nice to have snow though
That’s tough, low light, worst sound in the woods. Oh man! Been there.
I’ve had bucks snorting happen before it’s very frustrating 😮

@@RichOutdoors my camp is always open if you ever want to go up there. the invitation is there for ya
I gave you a like for the mouse fart comment alone. Congrats to your father.
I like your videos
Thanks! I appreciate it
Could that weird jumping spike have had like a muskrat trap on his hoof? It was like he was trying to shake something off.

What kind of firearm are you using?
Dude where was camp lol
Close! But not close enough to call the hunt!

I'll give it a try some time!

Thanks for the comment Jon, happy hunting this season!
Jon is the only confused person in this scenario.
Haha…like anyone here in Michigan follows shooting times. Hunt state land sometime….
Get a freakin bowholder for the tree
Nice job at waiting to get a better look. I would of done the same

Shouldn't pass on the first day that which you wouldn't on the last. Well, that is what "they" say.
Thermals and scents rise in the am
You’re right! If the sun was out or rising they would have!
👍
Good pass, hard to tell size but looked maybe a 2 year old? They only get bigger if we let them grow
What county?
Mecosta!
Why hang deer from the head ?ruins meat and I think disrespects the deer big time, cant bleed out that way at all,,,hope I gave ya a tip ,haha
