This song is so fire 🔥
Thanks for coming to Memphis!
Are you gonna make a video of the song?
Love it ❤
autotune
I like how you zoom in to make the places look sketchy. Elwood's shack is in a Lowe's parking lot and yet you managed to completely edit that out. Nice work
Well it is on summer and Perkins…iykyk
Facts I was just fixing to comment that.
Yeah they did kinda make it look like it was in the trenches but it’s on like the nicest part of Summer 🤣
Let’s not pretend you didn’t think it was sketchy the first time you rolled up. But they have amazing food!
@@dswanson2010 But there is a Chikfila, Starbucks and Chipotle down the street, so Summer is changing.
Not a single one of these places is in a “sketchy” location, y’all just scary 😂😂😂. The only people in danger in Memphis are the ones driving Hellcats 😂
Wow. Not true tho
Really?? I’m a delivery driver for US Foods and have been for 16 years and my coworker was actually shot and killed and robbed while he was bleeding out delivering to Jack Pirtles and we don’t carry cash so if that ain’t sketchy please tell me what is
Cozy Corner is a hidden gem it has been on food network. Need to try the Cornish Hen
Memphis is my home bro, so many great places to eat all over the city. 901 4 life!
Next time you're in Memphis, you should go back to Elwood's for lunch or dinner. They have some really good pizza and some PHENOMENAL fish tacos.
Elwood is not sketch lol ..just an old building.. Cozy Corner is a hidden gem , yes only go in the day time. I have had lunch with Lawers Docters and the mayor of Memphis in the past at Cozy.
Spell check?
If you went to Memphis and didn't eat Uncle Lou's fried chicken then you truly missed out!!!
Is it sketchy?
for real!
On life!!! They would be still eating right now though 🤣🤣🤣
Unc Lou's is the way
Uncle lou's ain't hitting on s***
As an LA native I can confirm the SOUTH has superior food
I love this series. But we Need More shady looking Restaurants haha
I am always somewhat amazed at the common things that they don't know about food but are self-proclaimed foodies
Keywords "Self proclaimed".😅
What do you think they mean when they say foodie? That they are scientists that break down every molecule of every meal to find out what tastes good? Taste in food is subjective. They make videos going to places they have never been. That doesn't mean they are chefs or professionals when it comes to food.
People here are real upset about people rating food. It isn't that serious. If YOU like the food, that is ALL that matters. You shouldn't be getting upset that somebody else doesn't like the same food as you. I think that makes you the weirdo.
blew my mind when he said they didnt know they would get so many ribs. how the fuck you not know a slab is a full slab of ribs. you ordered 2 slabs my guy lmao
@@knado8135 it has nothing to do with whether or not they like the food. But the fact that they don't know the difference between pork and beef and how many ribs is a slab. Those are pretty common things to know about food.
@@user-rf6nu4jj2git’s not very common, I never eat ribs so idek how many a slab is
Hi Brennen my names Hayden you always find a way to make me smile every time I click on your videos, my dad Alexander commented a few months ago before he passed away from pancreatic cancer. It was very devastating but before he passed he always showed me your food reviews, so now whenever I watch you and Jake eat at food restaurant I picture my dad right next to you guys. Thank you for all the great content.❤
Go to Payne’s BBQ next time in Memphis ‼️‼️‼️‼️
Don't EVER come back to Memphis.
5 places you need to eat in Memphis
Gus's Fried Chicken
Huey's Burgers
Dyer's Burgers
Rendezvous or Central BBQ
facts! and Central BBQ is the freaking best
Central over Rendezvous too touristy, Central is legit!
Maybe not Huey’s, I’d probably say Slider Inn. But definitely Central or Bain BBQ, and Dyers.
I agree Central is way better than Rendezvous. Rendezvous Ribs have declined in quality ever since they were hyped up on the Food Network and they started shipping their products to out of State folks. It's a bit sad as Rendezvous is an old school business that really use to put a lot of care into crafting amazing dry rib BBQ. I had bad, good, and life changing BBQ. To me Rendezvous was just mid.
It's crazy how Many types of BBQ you can find regionally in the U.S.
I personally love dry rub. I like having the option of sauce instead of meat swimming in it. A good dry rub BBQ only needs some napkins lol. My least favorite is Carolina BBQ(not a fan of mustard base sauces). I also don't care for BBQ in Alabama. The meat just seems under seasoned and I can't wrap my head around White Sauce. Just not my thing.
Central bbq is the best
I love watching these videos is cool to see you go to sketchy restaurants and you end up finding that you actually either loved the food or that you have found a new favourite restaurant/cafe/bar/pub and I love that it’s awesome so please continue making these videos because we all love them thank you.
I never add comments to any channel, but..... I absolutely love your videos!!!!!! You two are completely honest in your reviews and are very respectful to all the people you meet, keep up the great work! FYI, I just subscribed to your channel which I never have before with anyone, and that my friend is a compliment to you both, don't stop what you are doing, I'm hooked! God Bless!
Love your food blogs. You always seem to find some really good spots!
LOL Memphis. My first time, I took a plane to Nashville and then a Greyhound to Memphis. The Memphis downtown station still had classic 80s tiny TVs connected to the chairs in the waiting area! The toilets were leaking sewage out the door, but when you gotta go... There was a man in one stall with his feet up singing about the smell. I got out as fast as possible. As soon I stepped out to the street a guy asks if I want to buy a watch and opens his jacket and it's like a ZALES in there. I had never seen anything so shiny. The insides of his jackets were lined with rows of watches and necklaces and rings LOL. I lost it laughing. Luckily my ride showed up right then and told that guy to get lost. Been a few more times later to see Graceland and do all the fun Tennessee things, but the first time was crazy. I stayed at cheap motel somewhere around Tupelo. I could see the tri-state border cops searching and arresting people all night for buying alcohol in one state and bringing it to the other right at the gas station next to us. They had some weird alcohol laws.
Yea, I heard it’s kind of like PA. I was surprised that 5 counties are completely dry! The whole no alcohol thing is very weird to me too. Lol I live in Baltimore City and certain areas of Memphis remind me of Bmore. Bmore is country af too. I don’t think ppl realize it and consider us northerner’s lol Nah …
@@Scorpiobw Oh man I have stayed with some friends in Pittsburgh and they all seemed to have pallets of beer at home from the local breweries. Dog Fish Head kicks ass. .. I went there a few times for the Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival downtown. I got on PA TV for eating a few pounds of bacon in 3 minutes :) They all complained of that state law thing.
Yea I have a close friend in Philly and anyone I’ve ever talked too that live outside of the city, hate it.@@Bacon420
It is like that from almost a good century before the events of MLK events in all irony, even back then it was a dangerous place, if one was not a local at least and making one's own ethanol was also and getting it for others or hosting a place for others to drink the untaxed booze, but what made it dangerous was not those making it, or even making money from it, it was how the authorities went about apprehension of those breaking the liquor laws, back in the day one shiner cornered could mean a dozen man shoot out will happen, cops do not really have much of a say when you way out in the Boone docks close to your kin if ya know what I mean lol I had a ancestors that was infamous for breaking said laws, kind of proud of that heritage, he saved poor nobody farmers regardless of race or sex he paid 4 times what the government would for their crops so he got them all to just grow ethanol making crops in this case corn. If you were dirt poor and could get 100% more for your crop and know it's sold before harvest with no waiting months on the government subsidies sources to pay or not pay you. Thus why no one talked a whisper and backed him, the FBI hunted him until they gave up and just offered him a job to help break up what was a massive mob ran/funded booze trade much like that of meth today, that is what did that area and many others in to this very day it stays even long after fixing the above history in so doing that they just uprooted and forgot of the ppl after getting rid of what they did not approve of and it was not crimes against ppl but trade of untaxed booze then poof gone, all about the money not the ppl, this world is so sad.
By me living in Memphis , none of these spots are really sketchy 😂
Nah the ribs & wings from place #2 holy shit 😍 the portion of the ribs, phenomenal, they actually wanna FEED their customers, love to see it 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I love the fact that they never fail to complain every video !
Ok if u don’t like food or certain things u wont complain or think about how something is wrong they are doing reviews and tasting food and why would they lie and say oh yea it’s amazing taste so good
I always watch while eating & somehow yall always end up making me even more hungry lol, loveeee the food content ❤
I enjoy the history spots you hit up it's an extra treat to the food videos love it 💯💯💯💯💯💯
You should had went to Payne’s BBQ on Lamar. It would had truly met the “sketchy” criteria, neighborhood, restaurant (former gas station) and the best BBQ sandwich you have had anywhere.
The editor havin a little too much fun with the sound effects lol
6:30 was perfect I was literally blasting that song omw back home from apple bees 😂
I’ve lived 5 minutes outside of Memphis my entire life and honestly I was nervous for you both when you came here to Memphis. Memphis does have some nice areas to it, but also some real dangerous areas too. I hope you enjoy yourselves and stay safe.
So every large city.
@kyleford9393 no Memphis is literally rated the most dangerous city in America. Violent crime and murder.
@@kyleford9393Memphis is very much more dangerous than the average US city.
They don’t understand I lived 5 min away from Memphis too I had to move away because how dangerous it is
Me too
Good greatness my babies call me daddy 😂🤣 Love y’all Taylor Bro’s 💃❤️
Yes a new video when you are sick thanks for the video I love your videos so much❤❤ and your music is the Best❤❤❤
I love you Brennen and Jake ❤️❤️
Love you guys; sending loads of love and so glad Jake is more on screen now…. I just love how much you all do together…. If you ever come to Indiana, hit me up, I can recommend the best places I have found over 15 years of living here….
You need to do a comparison of Pork and Beef ribs cause what you pointed out is 1000% a pork rib. A good Beef rib you would melt in your chair, run around, and then ascend into heaven
I’ve been waiting for Memphis mannnn
i been waiting for you!👸🏾
Mane* 😂
Brennans quick cheap moments are hilarious

Why you always dissing my man Jake 😆. Great video as always my dudes keep it up!
I’m glad you go to these kinds of places. Shows that good food can be behind a bland exterior.
Y’all should do food challenges too as a series.
DON'T EORGET TO STREAM "HATED", I HAVE BEEN ALL DAY. LOVE THE SONG BRENNEN. ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Brennan! You should go to Huntsville, AL and try sketchy restaurants!!!
Hey Brennen & Jake I think you should try places that Bar Rescue show by Jon Taffer does
Awsome video bro 💯
Wow. Great idea. How refreshing to watch.
The 7up is to give it fluffiness and a little sweetness but you will not taste the soda in the biscuit. Ribs and wings look good. You two are funny.
I LOVEEE y’all’s videos but i can’t stand how Jake is about food 😅😂 little greedy
Love your music! 🎉
Thanks for bringing me along. That burger looked tasty.
I love Cozy Corner, I'll definitely have to try Ellwood's!
Elwood’s is amazing. Fish taco and the wings are my go to meal there.
Very interesting that those old run-down hole in the wall restaurants have such good food.
Those are always my target when visiting a new town.
Thank you for you sacrifice and honest opinion.
Yup , they are always honest , that's why I love watching their food reviews , and always making me laugh ❤
Bros so lif during the cozy corner part lol 🤣
I feel like I made it here so early. That brisket burrito looks so 🔥🤤 glad to be subscribed for quite some time now. You’re both so handsome too ❤
Says young kids working in the back and shows to mexicans lol😂
All of it looks the bomb 💣
Love from Tavares Florida. Excellent videos
Be safe out there ❤️🔥💯.
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo just had their BBQ contest, teams from across Texas and the world competed for championship titles. Should check out the winners!
The best burger in Memphis was the Mr. Goodburger at Roxie’s, closed this year. RIP Roxie’s. Now for me it is the burgers at the Green Beatle.
I want to thank you and Jake yalls show has helped me get thru my heart transplant I watched ur show every day when I was in the hospital...thank yall so much
Congratulations on healing from your heart transplant surgery.🫶
Man Memphis got some hidden gems. THE GREEN BEETLE is one of them. Cordova, Germantown, etc.
Thanks for sharing! The food looked amazing👍🏻You all should do a video about food trucks that turned into restaurants. I live in Yuma, Az and I can’t tell you how many food trucks moved into old store fronts. Most are doing really well.
big fan
Love ur vids
Elwood’s and Cozy Corner are Memphis staples.
Hahaha, you two crack me up eating those burgers
That bbq place looks so good! 😍😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰😘😘
Elwoods is the best kept secret around! You can have anything on the menu and have that same "OMG" face. And next time, you need to stop at that Jack Pirtle's and have the most amazing steak sandwich you've ever had in your LIFE. " hand-pounded to a thin cutlet, cooked in the pressure cookers used for the chicken, then seared on the grill and served with the famous cracklin' gravy and cole slaw on a fresh toasted bun."
They missed the sketchy parts. Lot-A-Burger is in an "interesting" part of town but Interstate BBQ is right across from them. Cozy Corner is on the edge of Crosstown so it's not really sketchy and Elwood's is, well, Elwood's. It's in a Lowes Home Improvement store parking lot
I love cozy corner!
yeah, nice vlog gents
that looks like so much fun
