I find him immensely entertaining when he is scheming, and in scenes with Aaron we get to see his other attentive, amorous side. Such a beautiful, complex character brought to life by amazing Ryan Hawley!
I'm loving Robert in this episode! He is so in his element again and it's awesome to see. I hope we get more scenes with him and Charity, and Jimmy and Nicola too! I don't understand why some people seem to write off all his character development just because he is back doing what he loves. He has always been ruthless when it comes to business and I wouldn't want it any other way. He has definitely grown as a person over the last year, but thankfully he is still the same character I (and Aaron ;p) fell in love with. It's great to see him finally getting his life back together, getting together with Aaron and getting a job he loves. You can clearly see that it makes him generally more happy and content :)
+C Ro Yes, I totally agree :) I did feel sorry for Lawrence in this episode, especially after his final scene with Chrissie. He had such a bad day, first paying Robert half a million to get rid of him only to find out that he still couldn't shake him off, then finding out that Edna had died, and lastly having to tell his daughter that he is not her biological father. That day must have been such an emotional roller coaster for him.
C Ro For some reason I've always gotten the impression that he did know, so that didn't surprise me much. I wonder if this Ronnie guy really is Chrissie's real father though, or if it will be another twist. Maybe he'll be Lawrence's lover. Or maybe both!

I wouldn't approve of Robert's behaviour in real life (or Aaron's for that matter) but I LOVE watching characters like Robert and Charity in fiction. Oh, and I love those old episodes btw. I love him, and if he was a real person he would deserve much better than Robert, and probably still would as a fictional character, but what's the fun in that? Where would the drama be? Actually, big brothers do a lot of telling their younger siblings what to do! Actually not just big brothers, but most older siblings! I should know, I am an older sibling! I did plenty of bossing around my younger siblings when we were younger! I can admit it! We just want to look out for them! And yeah sometimes we think we know what's best for them! We think because we are older we have it together and know how to take care of them! I'm not saying that that's true, because sometimes it isn't! But it's not because we are trying to control them or make ourselves look superior or anything! It's because most of the time we are truly trying to look out for them! Yeah, me and my younger siblings would get into fights, but in the end I always loved them and wanted them to be protected and happy! And I know Aaron is just trying to do the same thing for Liv!

Robert I saved you enough time, cut to a few weeks ago he left Lawrence lying for dead on the floor, or the time he got home farm robbed and Lawrence had a heart attack or even when he bribed a lad to say he was attacked by Lawrence and Lawrence was put in jail (and I can't really recall what Lawrence did so wrong to him to warrant this). Someone remind me why I should like this character ...well Lawrence got it right we should move and Charity is bad ass again.

I think my two favorite things about the rape story (apart from Danny´s acting in general) were the episode with Chas at the beach and the episode when Adam learns the truth and hugs Aaron first time he sees him. So beautiful. More of that, a real long-time friend is what the story of the character needed at such delicate point of his journey.
No, Edna!!!!! Loved her character especially when Clyde and Tootsie had a run-in and Aaron apologized to Edna (at Paddy's insistence). I said a tiger doesn't change its stripes: there's Robert again being sneaky and manipulative. Aaron deserves so much better. So. Much. Better. It's only a matter of time until he turns on Aaron.
She did that actress was brilliant, from man eating Rose in Keeping Up Appearance to Emmerdale and the prune. SUchida a versatile actress and sadly will be missed. For those here only for Robron look at the touching scenes between her and Aaron in prison when she shopped Aaron. Soaps take a little while to catch up when a person dies in real life cause they film in advance - look at when the actor who played Andy Robert and Victoria dad died in real life

It was not needed to make Chas and Aaron (of all people after what happened last year) accept Robert as family now. Plus the drama in that front feels like it´s over. I said it months ago since November or December when it started to be clear they were going to reunite them: the decision is a mistake for several different reasons, and it has been one of teh very few times (if not the only one) ED has offered a particular fanbase what they wanted at any cost.
+JustBecause Yeah, RIP Edna. And RIP Shirley Stelfox, who died in real life allready in december. I am going miss her famous hat. But they have a wrong dog, Tootsie was different coloured in the earlier episodes! By the way, one of many reasons why I love British soaps are these pensioner actors hanging around the church or in the pub enjoying their sherry. I mean I get it that they can´t carry long storylines anymore, but it´s nice that they can keep on working until to the end of their life if they choose to do so instead of beeing kicked out from the series. In my mind here is something really sympatic and beatiful in that and it also makes these series more strong & more real.
+Starshii Sadly, I heard that the dog who originally played Tootsie also died around the same time as Shirley which is why they had to replace it. Of course they could have gotten a dog that looked more like the last one, but I don't think it matters much in bigger scheme of things.
Oh god I'm going to have to skip every scene Charity is in! I hate the character, she brings out the worst in other characters. I used to like Ross but ever since he teamed up with her (and her daughter) he's become utterly unbearable! And I'm so glad Aaron's story picks up again soon where he's not constantly around that vile sister of his! What a disrespectful, foul mouthed little BRAT!!! Didn't like this episode one bit!

Suprising Star Wars / may the fourth be with you-reference at the end, which really warmed my nerd´s heart! Only minus was the little brat have to admit that.
