Yayyy you have multiple videos in this series! Look forward to watching your videos. I’m just over 6 months into my own challenge and I started with 350 books 🥹🥲 look forward to seeing if you reached TBR Zero yet hehe
Only the physical books should be a serious concern. I hope that is the direction you took, but I'll watch this series of videos to see how you did on your TBR Zero project. :) I found reading a couple of chapters was enough to let me unhaul a book after giving it a chance. I tell myself it's not now, not not ever, and that soothes any reluctance. I also got a Little Free Library to put in my yard, and sharing books that way is motivating. As a LFL steward, I feel obliged to keep it stocked. So I unhaul books I read and don't love. I might like them but I can re-read from the library. I also tend to get ebooks of series I like but don't adore.
Loved this! If it make you feel any better my tbr used to be 380. I got pretty brutal with the unhauling and the dnfs which helped reduce it lots. Plus I stop myself buying books because they're find that I'd buy loads and never read them but it seems like you go in with an idea of what you're looking for 😊
I always feel anxious when I see the title of this type of video, but when I hear how many books are on TBRs I breathe a sigh of relief. My goal this year is to reduce my TBR to 40. It currently stands at 50ish down from 70ish at the beginning of the year. If I succeed great, but if it stays where it is so be it. I am trying to be more picky on what I buy new, as I know I can only read so many in a year. My weakness is that I buy a lot of secondhand books and they 'have' to be bought when I see them. If it is any comfort I read two books that I bought in the 90s this year. Challenges and themes are good idea and you can set up your own challenges on Storygraph.
I also have a large TBR - I'll have to tackle it too! And I love the idea about looking through the exam syllabuses - I also was mostly uninspired by what I had to do for English Lit.
I've read some good ones so far. Perhaps I'll do a video discussing it in the future - what I read at school, what I've read of the current syllabus and then what's still left on my TBR from that...
Great video! I’ve just subscribed to your channel. I’m also on a mission (after watching Mercy and a few other booktubers) to get my TBR down. I’m going to try and find some prompts and challenges to make it more interesting! 😁

I love this! Mercy was one of the booktubers who inspired me to start my own tbr project as well!
Hello! I have an update coming on Monday about how I'm getting on - are you charting your journey on this as well? X

Brutal that should be my mantra! Thanks for watching, I love your videos 😀
Looking forward to seeing your progress with this challenge ☺️ I am trying to get my TBR down to zero too, buy I'm starting with about 80. God speed 😂
Hahaha, it certainly doesn't help that I started uni in September as a mature student and will now have a whole bunch of allocated reading !

Haha, yeah secondhand bookshops are my downfall! Good luck with your TBR. You are definately in a better place than me!

Love this project - can’t wait to see how it goes!
Thank you!
