Yes but my average on tesla lr 2024 is 17.7kw/100km mainly droven on higways (my last 7 cars was BMWs so still BMW fan in heart) but I prefered range over the look what is your average consumption is it lower than 24 kwh/100km?
@okuliarerayban9481 I own neither I still prefer my Toyota supra .. for EVs the only ones I'd consider are the taycan and i4 .. range doesn't matter when u have a gas car for long trips.
@@okuliarerayban9481 This depends on rims and the style. I have a eDrive40 with 17 inch aero wheels (do not know it is available in US) without M package (which has 5% worse CV value) and I can easily get 450 kilometers at 130 km/h. My typical highway consumption is from 16.5 to 17 kWh per 100km at summer.
I just crunched those values through a calculator to presume 17.7 kwh per 100 km is equivalent to 3.5 miles per kwh... ...which is the same efficiency as my i4 E40 with the 19" staggered wheel setup that comes with the baseline i4 M50.
BMW may be confident in its battery management but a low EV battery buffer is generally not considered good as it means allowing your electric vehicle battery to drop to a very low state of charge, which can significantly impact the battery's lifespan and health; it's best practice to keep your EV battery between 20% and 80% charge to maximize its longevity.
If you think about cars, they evolve with time, to fit the human needs. I think when it comes to the position of the panel/cockpit (screens) for the driver, BMW is the only one far ahead with the best user experience. The old style is just behind the wheel where you can't see enough. This one you can see and touch at any time, where the wheel is just behind and below it. I loved it when I drove the new BMW. But brands like Tesla, completely ruined this experience, by removing everything behind the wheel and centralizing ALL the info in the center, so to look at speed and all info, you have to always turn your neck to the right, meaning that it's super annoying. When I was driving a Tesla, I felt so unconfortable because of that. Of course I am just talking about the cockpit, both cars are amazing in general. For me this BMW and the new Peugeots (just cockpit) has the best ones. Thanks for sharing the video! I picked the BMW just because of this difference. Here in Germany we have car sharing and they have both cars, so you can try both.
Now I have tesla 3 before I had Bmw G20 so the same interior like I4 and its incomparably tesla materials are like from temu in opposite to BMW but I will still choose tesla over BMW because of price.
I4 looks alot better imo. As a daily driver it prefer it.

How about road noise and ride quality comparing i4 vs Tesla?
@jolvan i4 definitely quieter but this press car had winter tires on it already so was much noisier than usual fyi
