Mad isn't it! Not all semi auto rifles are banned though, .22 rimfire is fine in semi auto, I have a few .22lr rifles and a .22 magnum Keltec CMR-30 if you look in my shorts videos. I've also got a drum fed Vepr 12 shotgun 😛
Reloading is well worth getting into when you're ready to, you can save money and make better ammo than factory stuff, plus you're not reliant on factory ammo availability!
I've been keeping an eye out for shotshell reloading supplies as they've shot up in price recently, but struggling to find supplies that make it cost effective to even consider. I've bought a Lee Load-All press and a kit to convert to 20ga, just can't find powder at less than silly prices currently. I suppose at .50 BMG prices it makes sense, good information here.
Everything reloading wise has gone way up in the last while, primers in particular have more than doubled in price! I dabble in a bit of shotgun slug reloading, one of my many projects right now is making up some subsonic slugs to try in a suppressed shotgun! Keep an eye out online for people getting out of reloading/shooting, I got loads of powder and Lapua brass from an older bloke who was winding down to rimfire only shooting
That powder dispenser looks like a right good bit of kit! I'm trying to decide between wet or dry tumbling for 357magum cases, I don't mind staining on the outside so much but does either option clean the insides? I'm cleaning my brass by hand at the minute but it takes forever.
I'd definitely suggest wet tumbling, you'll get better results, it works faster and the insides of the cases will come up like new. I wish I'd switched to wet tumbling sooner. With something like .357 you'll be able to process hundreds of cases at once.
