An increadible "songwriter" not to mention her as a singer...she is a human force of nature. As part as of The Trio LABELLE they remain superheros in my eyes. ❤🔥❣❣❣❣❣❣❣
Nona Hendryx is one of our great musicians. I'm sad that she hasn't been producing all over the place. she was the gorgeous unique vision that made Labelle indescribable.
This WHOLE ALBUM is just fantastic - her voice just SOARS above anything else. I love the absence of being 'over-funk-i-fied' like most of her other material that I have checked out.
Great song. Covered by Jefferson Starship on "Deeper Space/More Virgin Sky" in 1995, and Nona actually sang it once live with them. All are in my JS live playlist. Thanks for the upload!
Thanks for posting. The vid for this is on TH-cam but you have to type in the title of the song to find it. There is no mention of Nona in the metatags.
Also performed by Nona live with the JS in 2011. I put that version, the 1995 "DS/"VS" version sung by Darby Gould and this original in my "JA?JS live" playlist.
