Reece Walsh looks good in his new colours. He was an absolute star in his Broncos debut! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 He was everywhere and involved in just about every try. One of the best club debuts in a while. This could be the pick up of the year! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
The speed and the footwork he performs is just incredible. Very entertaining match.

Walsh deadset had the best fullback performance i have seen since pappy last year . he will be the best fb in the comp by far if he does what he done tonight all season
Great win, Broncos! They looked shaky at the start, appearing unable to break the Cowboys defence, but they hung in there. Walsh was amazing and certainly cemented the number 1 jersey. Cowboys were brave but, in the end, not enough.
Early days but Broncos look pretty good. Good to see Reyno still playing well 🐰
Walsh playing in the Nz Warriors really allowed him to show his Skillset on the big stage...and now look at him. If he can stay in top form and avoid injury ( esp those leg cramps lol ) he will def be in hot contention for a Queensland jersey and hopefully help keep the Bronx in a top 8 spot
Warriors returned the favour when we released him early we could of held him back as he was still on a development contract, the fact they only let him go to us no one else when he wanted to go back home can't be forgotten, a club with integrity as far as I'm concerned my 2nd favourite club now, plus they helped developed Arthurs who looks a much better player now.

Straight outta Warriors for Walshy boi and he was a all star, that jawbone injury for Corey Oakes was probably the most rewatched thing I kept thing about overnight in my mind bruh , can't believe they didn't get like a penalty try or goal , but just a simple sin bin for the opposing team
New rule should be, blatant injury causing tacklers should get the same amount of time off as the injured player.
Walsh has definitely juiced up the broncos offense for this season.

Broncos' communication and trust in their teammates is beautiful to watch, you can see it with Walsh to Staggs and Oats to Mam. It opens up their offence and gives them room to be creative. After seeing Brisbane defend against the panthers and now the offence against the cowboys... I am quietly excited.

You can't help but feel sorry for the Cowboys. It must be very frustrating to train all week knowing that they will inevitably lose to the mighty Brisbane Broncos.
Perhaps they will have more success later in the year when none of their players are selected for origin. Being the 4th best team in Queensland must have some perks.
I suppose that cheap-shot Scott will have some time on the sideline to study how the team can avoid losing so embarrassingly.

Drinkwater never touched the guys head in the tackle, they sent off the wrong person. It was Chad Townsend.

@@atlasatlantis8447 Chad doesn't hit him in the jaw. Scott tries to redirect his body to tackle Oates but pushed himself up instead of across and stood up into Oates's mouth, which broke it.
Because he got hit by drink water the back of his head hit Chad's chin which didn't do anything after Drinkwater's original hit

It's very different with the Channel 9 NRL commentary team this year in 2023 following the departures of Peter Sterling in 2021 & Ray Warren last year in 2022!

Drinkwater gets 10 in the bin (and rightly so) but Teddy did the exact same tackle against Manly a few weeks ago and didn't even get a penalty 🤔
