Miki is kind of like a bit of a forgotten champion. After Shizuka Arakawa it kind of just skips to Mao and Kim Yu Na and their rivalry and forgets Miki and her accomplishments. She should get more credit for her contributions.
Most of the lutz loops were fully rotated. She was unlucky to be in a generation of triple doubles. Her jumps would have been appreciated more in the seasons after Sochi.
Jorge Bonilla Most of Zagitova’s 3Lz-3Lo combos are clean. The ones at Europeans and in the individual lp at the Olympics were especially clean. She even finished all of the rotation before her blade touched the ice. Only the ones early on in the season and in the sp at Worlds were questionable. You clearly don’t know what you’re talking about. If you don’t believe me, watch the ones at Europeans in slow-mo. I’m pretty sure the ones at the GPF were clean too.

You can see that during her ‘Samson and Delilah’ season with ‘Don Quixote’ that her jumps were still shaky and inconsistent. But once she hit Europeans and skated beautifully, Olympics was so much more stable. But at 2019 Worlds and during that season, she grew around 3-4 inches which affected her jumping capacity. But still, Zagitova is an amazing skater and technically amazing.

I think she chose 3Lz+3Lo to boost points. 3Lz+3T doesn’t score as high. She might also have been more comfortable with the loop compared to the toe. Like Mao.

世界的に見ても現役時代にこれだけ3-3跳んでいた選手はいないのでは？特にルッツ-ループ。スルツカヤも試合で成功したのはほんの数回？ザギトワも現役短かったし。トリノ五輪後の2006-2007シーズンは特に成功率高いし、実際文句の付けどころがないくらいの質。直ちに跳ぶセカンドループはドリルみたいな迫力があって、まさに安藤さんならではでしたね。しかし回転不足は容赦なくダウングレード判定のルールは本当にこの時代の闇を象徴している。

07~08シーズンからセカンドループは悉く回転不足の認定、浅田選手も。仕方なく2ループにしました。ルッツーループはキムのルッツートウより基礎点が高い。キムがループを飛べないから、割りを喰らってます😭
せめて当時も現在みたいなアンダーローテーション(UR)の判定で済み、ダウングレードほどの大減点でなければ、選手達のモチベーションも変わっていたのではないかと思います。
とはいっても、結局はジャッジ達の裁量でどうにでもなってしまう点は現在もあまり変わっていないと思うので、その辺の改革をしていただけたらいいな、と個人的には思います…。

ルールが違う時代だったらもっと4回転見られたんだろうな。数種類4回転練習では成功してると解説されてる時もあったからもっと周りも4回転跳んでたら跳ぶところ見られたんだろうな。

This is a case study in inconsistency of technical calls. Thankfully, the judges as of late have been more lenient.

Its actually pretty common with skaters who natural Lutz jumpers. Shizuka Arakawa had the same problem.
