Put the regulator under the windshield cowl and use a bulk head through fire wall an fitting. You can drill a hole and have the gauge in the engine bay too.
Put the regulator next to the down pipe, heat wrap the down pipe and then make a custum aluminum heat shield for the regulator screwed to the fire wall, guives you some extra protection and gess what another polished aluminum part *.* I´m loving your content keep it up :D
Clear coat never sticks well on polished metal, it would just create a headache soon after when it starts peeling and has to be stripped and repolished
hit it with collinite 845. stuff was originally made for coating power lines. Stuff lasts a long time, I used to use it to keep billet wheels looking good, pretty awesome wax for paint too.
As for fuel pressure reg, mine is tucked under inlet manifold to look clean af, then soft lines are thermo sleeved and run across back of engine where the notch in the rocker cover goes
route the fpr regulator vacuum hose short as possible and dont use too small diameter silicone hose on it. it makes decent difference in with the fuel pressure keeping up with your boost pressure
Off topic but how easy did you find it adding the turbo the m102? I have an m103 I want to turbo but not sure what EFI kit and ECU to go with, ant recommendations?
@@peakperformance8960 If it is to be well done, it will not be cheap. Any piggyback who supports fuelimplant technology. I used Ecumaster DET3. If you want cheap - just swap. @@Cobesh I would like to keep the original engine in the car as it is low mileage and has been very well looked after, I don't mind what it will cost as I'll just buy the parts one by one until I have a full kit, I won't be driving the car for another year at least as I'm restoring it completely. Thanks for the recommendation on the ECU I will check it out!
Man, I’m doin wrinkle black and polished / raw alum look. Already painted half my damn bay wrinkle black thanks to u 🤣 just to polish/strip some parts now
Keep up the content my dudes, loving the jz content! Classic jimmy “oh Ive never polished before but wonder if I could polish this, comes out fucking perfect...
If they are modified Bosch injectors (looks like they are) they will be e85 'compatible' they wont have stainless internals in this type so if you leave it sitting for decent periods of time with E85 in them, take the injectors out and clean them out with pump gas otherwise moisture in E85 will roast them. Reference: been selling this style injector for 5+ years. Oh and #flexgang
Most injectors manufactured in the last two decades have stainless internals (Bosch, Denso, DEKA, etc). Reference: been manufacturing these injectors for 10+ years.
You'll have a ton of room for upgrades, i use a DW300 pump and bosch 1000cc,mine is srock turbo and manifold and makes 300hp at 38% injector duty cycle lol. Also those injectors will be slightly longer jim, need to change/make new spacers
@FRtôge e85 eats plastic he mentions going e85 so it wont last, all fuel that doesnt have non ethanol stated at the pump has a percentage of ethanol in it already so it will degrade and fall off.
Love your content Jimmy been a fan Since I see new in the very 1st haggard Video I watch all your videos like all your videos just don't comment a lot of the time
Put the fuel pressure regulator on the intake side of the engine, I would not put something like this near hot shit, that's kinda how Adamlz's s13 caught on fire you don't wanna mess with flamanle stuff and intense heat coming from your engine
I would bend the fuel lines over to the other side of the chassis, like back by the rear of the car... That's just cuz I'm a Scrooge and wouldnt wanna use that much AN line in a hose.. That and I dont like my fuel being on the same side as exhaust if it can be avoided. Just like I dont like my catch can fittings on the valve cover to be on the exhaust side. Just one less fire to worry about.
Jimmy I'm polishing my strut bar I'm at about 800 grit atm, can you let me know what polish you're using for the final step? I have jewelers rouge but it doesn't really come out nice in my opinion.

Now you GOTTA polish the turbo’s cold side
Mason T I’ve been saying this every video but you beat me to it
I agree the compressor housing polished would set it off 💦
i came here just to say that.
"RJ I accidentally polished the crap out of this thing" 😂😂 I'm dead
Can you polish the top of the radiator next? Would look nice
Put the regulator under the windshield cowl and use a bulk head through fire wall an fitting. You can drill a hole and have the gauge in the engine bay too.
I think polishing that radiator would make it look even better. So clean!
black & polish is ALWAYS a WIN! Now polish the compressor housing & you're set.
Seeing you use an actual Stanley knife rather than loose blades is so nice
Been here since the start, keep up the dope content

Engine bay looking fresh dude. Love the black and polished scheme. So clean. Looks much better than the green.
The 240 is coming out badass and I love the polished and black
Regulator on the firewall, also id be sure the zip ties good in the gas tank. Cant wait to see this thing shred!
Fuel rail turned out awesome
Lol “is just that little extra” that movie is hilarious !!
BRO THE FULL RAILS POLISHED LOOKS SOOOOOOOO FIRE
Love the look of the engine bay Jimmy! Looking hella fresh
That engine bay is looking amazing, Jimmy! Cant wait to see it all finished up and running! Best channel on TH-cam!
This black and chrome theme is looking fresh. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Loving the chill beat in the background
Your honesty my biggest inspiration I just love how you do things ❤️
The car is coming out sick! Can't wait to see it in person.
Definitely should wrap the Exhaust manifold for heat prevention
Perfect timing , i just bought a DW400 pump and now you make an install video
You oughta throw a coat of clear over that polished aluminum. Make it shine and easier to clean
Wax would be way easier.
@@weedshoes5089 yeah and rattlecan clear doesn't like the heat either, it'd probably begin to peel after a few months
Matthew C id try it tho. Would maintain it and hell if it peals it’s metal it’ll sand off easily

lmao "it's all about perspective" Rj got me rolling
Polish the rad top and turbo cold side as for the regulator mount it to the firewall
“I’ve been sending long messages all day” i felt that
That fuel rail is sick
As for fuel pressure reg, mine is tucked under inlet manifold to look clean af, then soft lines are thermo sleeved and run across back of engine where the notch in the rocker cover goes
you should get the same turbo as evan shanks, that turbo made one hell of a dyno chart
route the fpr regulator vacuum hose short as possible and dont use too small diameter silicone hose on it. it makes decent difference in with the fuel pressure keeping up with your boost pressure
You should buy oem fuel rails, polish them, have Justin weld a tag on them, and sell them. That could be your first aftermarket part
Jimmy that beat in the background is sooooo 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 i need to hear it
You need to polish the cool side of the turbo, it’d look super clean with the other polished bits
The 1j is such a good looking engine. Always looks extra good in s chassis’ too
Hey Jimmy the s13 is gonna be a beast on when it's all done keep the videos coming
I wish you did a polished intake manifold too instead of wrinkle black, build coming together tho! Fyeah would be proud
You could try DIY anodizing your aluminium parts.
10:00 Did he use an angle grinder with the fuel tank open?
Yes, and the table his hands and all full of fuel😂

run solid lines over to the intake side would be neater as you can use less hose, and you can polish them :D
Difference between ordinary, and extraordinary , is that little EXTRA! Not little bit 😂. Love the content man! Can’t wait to see it done!
That Fuel rail looks awesome👌🏼
Ceramic coat the manifold and turbo exhaust housing and polish the intake housing
“I was a accident and now this fuel rail being polished is a accident” 😂😂😂
I'm fine, thanks for asking!
When you poilsh stuff clear coat them so you dont need to stay on top of it. I use rustolim clear best stuff in my option
By the manifold would look sickkk

I’d save for the lines for the full e85 and run them down the drivers side. Or some hard pipes over to the other side.
I’m doing great Jimmy! Loving keeping up with this JZ build at the mo 🏁
Fuel will eat the zip tie off use a hose clamp
@FRtôge e85 eats plastic he mentions going e85 so it wont last, all fuel that doesnt have non ethanol stated at the pump has a percentage of ethanol in it already so it will degrade and fall off.
I always used zip ties, never had a problem. I never touch the pump until it’s time to change it tho.
I wouldnt put it by the header or down pipe I'd be worried about it vapor locking but then again you are the engineer lol
Progress!!! Good job 👍🏼
#DBFAM #JimmyOakes just showing some love to my boy
FPR on driver side strut tower.
all dw stuff is e85 safe. but remember to use nitrile fuel lines.
Love you videos jimmy and love the background music its a nice touch
I say run the exhaust on the right side of the car, and run the fuel lines on the left.
Awesome hook up with DW man!

polish the turbo and ceramic coat the exhaust housing
I hope u plan to run thicker wire to the pump pretty sure Adam had to on his s13
Great music! This video
Reach out to Trevor and see how he did the lines on his JZS14
James Briggs or ask LZ
You should've used a metal zip tie to secure the fuel pump because the fuel is going to eat away that plastic zip tie especially if you go e85
Longboi for the win
Engine bay gonna be baller AF
Damn bruh that clean
Hell yeah gettin there boy!!!
Yes Jimmy, I am great 👍

If you clear coat the fuel rail now that it's polished, it will stay shinnie
It'll stay shiny anyway because it'll never get driven.

I have to drop my tank to get to my fuel pump. I need to install a bigger pump but I've been procrastinating for that reason
DANGGGGGG that fuel rail is fckin lit lmao
It’s probably been mentioned but if you have questions I’m sure Trevor from motionautotv could help the long boi out
bro please dont please you regulator on the hot side... just reroute everything to the cold side ( intake side ). Do shit right the first time man.
Coldddd side jiiimmmmaayyy
*Jimmy oaktree.. Lol*
Almost lit it up eh. Lol
thanks man

Ziptie & fuel good combo Jimmy..... Facepalm.....
The zip tie is holding the pump to the bracket big deal
Wouldnt the ziptie like melt away from the fuel?
@@VinnyVitilio Nope, I've done it plenty of times on regular in tank fuel filter replacements, Even OEM setups are often mounted that way.
Not with ur average zip tie though
