This DeWalt XR jigsaw has some very good and uniquely beneficial features which makes using it for projects easier and more convenient 🤩🤯🥳🎉. Awesome price there in the UK Mike….. might have to keep an eye out for this particular model here in Australia 🇦🇺 🥰👍
Couldn't agree more! just finished putting down new laminate flooring and it was so easy to use and the boards never splintered, not once, very impressed
Im not going to make any "powerful tool" innuendo comments ;-) Its been aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages since youve done a power tool video (oh that angle grinder video) so great to see another one. DeWalt products are great, I have a few of them myself which I use around the house when Im doing DIY or my nighttime job as a total psychopath. Hope its not too long until we see another video with a powerful tool in your hand (dammit, I said I wouldnt make such comments !!!), thanks Mike and Kath.
haha, aching today, spent yesterday afternoon and evening putting down the new flooring in the hallway, and it was tough on the body in a cramped space, but the jigsaw was excellent and trimmed those boards down like a knife through butter. the markings on the boards were clearly visible due to the blower cleaning the surface ahead, which is often a pain with fibre based timbers. love it
Always thought of Dewalt being an expensive brand. Following your thorough review i can see where the cost goes! Do the batteries add a lot of weight? Thinking about a drill version for out of way diy plus adding a mop to polish ye olde car! Thanks for reviewing Mike and Kath👍
the beauty is you can use any of the 18v range batteries so if you want lightweight, use a 1.3ah or if you need long running or a heavy unit throw on a 5ah big boi
@@mikesunboxing Thanks Mike, great idea. I was never strong but finally charged up my very old nupower drill and need two hands to lift which not ideal👍
I’ve just stumbled across your channel and I’m glad I did, that is nice straight forward no nonsense review Mike, please review more tools as I’m a maker and review all tools before buying, I’m also a massive dewalt fan. 👍🏼 regards Terrythemaker
Just seen on mine on the right side blower side near the bash rail there is like a M8 bolt thread can't find out what it's for some kind of accessory maybe 🤔
It's hard to get a jigsaw that cuts straight. Thank you Mike, (and Cathy ;-)- I am looking for one right now, so this is helpful. I have been making my own computer desk, and I make all of my furniture, and getting one of these is top of my list.
Dewalt Budget ? Id say Dewalt is Mid Tier to high end maybe a little over priced at times but Excellent equipment as a whole all my Dewalt stuff was Stolen a few Years ago i never got to replace it im Using Real Budget Tools hahaha ! i love Dewalt too though i wouldn't say Fan boy but i do like it
Irrelevant to the video but when I did my laminate floor i spent the same money on a sliding mitre saw, much cleaner and quicker than a Jigsaw will ever be. as I said, not relevant to the review but is to the purpose of your use case.

Great overview video as I've just bought one of these and you have clearly explained all the features to save me reading the manual (really !!)
Glad I could help!
Great video well done. Saved me a lot of time learning how to use it.
Glad it helped

Was going to buy a mitre saw and a separate circular saw but decided for my needs I could get away with a good jigsaw instead. Thanks!
Very nice!
I think the sign on the bottom means that you can attach a vacuum cleaner so de dust and pellets goes straight into that

i will try to, thanks terry
Brilliant jigsaw just got this one only gripe is i wish it had a led light on the front like my DeWalt impact and multi tool 👍👍👍👍👍👍
yeah it is the simple things like that, that can make the job and the tool much better for little money
Just seen on mine on the right side blower side near the bash rail there is like a M8 bolt thread can't find out what it's for some kind of accessory maybe 🤔
Thanks Mike. Just bought one fron power tool world with "no instructions"! Know what's going on now🙂
Glad to help
Superb mate cheers 👌🏻
Thank you! Cheers!
Hi Mike, do you happen to know if this will take a 1.8mm jigsaw blade? Like the Bosch T144DP?
looks like it should, the T shank looks good

i don't regret buying this at all, very easy to use and cuts well, just make sure you get the right blade for the job
Yellow and black!!!
hi, Can the power button get stuck, or do you have to hold the button down for it to work continuously?
the power button can be locked to prevent it being pressed accidentally but not able to lock it in the on position
Old ones i think they had like a laser?Red light? They dont have it anymore?
there is another model with a very similar name but that has the laser
One unanswered question “does it make a jigsaw?” great video thanks Mike.
Good question! might answer that in a follow up

great video, I am new to woodworking and enjoyed learning all the features of the producti. just got
Awesome, thank you!
How long would say a 2ah last in this ?
really hard to say, and will be really dependant on the wood being cut, around 30 minutes to an hour maybe?
@@mikesunboxing That will do me, I have some old but still good 2ah. Thank you for the reply.
Super 😻😻😻😻😻😻💯💯💯👍👍👍👍👍👍

Lol, From "The Verge" range of PC building equipment.

for straight cuts you can't beat a mitre saw i had one but left it at my old job along with my giant mountain bike :-(
Get on with it
