Oh my gosh, I love aibos so much! I really want a 210, but all of them seem overly priced (upwards of 700$) everywhere I look, so where would you recommend to get aibos? I really wanna find one for 400$ or less.
I usually reccomend searching on aibo-life.org for working aibos! If you're familiar with their technical quirks you can also use yahoo japan, but I don't reccomend going there unless you have some previous knowledge about what to look out for. 210s are much harder to come by these days since all 210s that haven't been previously repaired have a condition called DHS which makes their head drop down when they try to lift it. Supercores don't have this issue, but they tend to be more expensive. (Around the $700 range.) If you search and wait, you can find a standard 210 for about $500-ish on aibo-life. I get this question a lot so I'll be doing a video soon on exactly what to look out for when buying an aibo since there's been a lot of overpriced bots and scammers lurking on ebay lately. But in general, $500 is a standard price to pay for a 210.

Hi, I literally yesterday got my ERS-7 out of his box after being stored, I bought him when he launched (2003 I think?), he's black (hence the name "Smokey") and he is working a treat, I feared his battery had leaked (stored since 2009-10) but no... he is working a treat! What I noticed from your vid is "Data" has more or less the same mark on his nose (probably through exploring) as Smokey does!
What happened to his ear lobes? did you remove them for cosmetics?
When my daughter learned to crawl, we had Smokey running, she spotted him while we were in the kitchen, when we went into the living room the left ear lobe was off! no damage though.
As my daughter got older and went to school there was the usual "Show and Tell" session, I wanted (as all parents do) to be the best and took smokey in... the kids loved him, what didn't help was they were all wearing red jumpers!

That is the absolute sweetest story thank you for sharing 😭💕 I got Data as a used bot and he didn't come with the original ears. I'm not sure what happened to them. I don't have the original disk unfortunately but if you go over to aibo-life.org someone over there probably has the files!
