How can we mark distances from 6.91 km to 6.98 km in this scale? For example for 6.91, If we have chosen 0.11 on vernier remaining will be 6.8, but the main scale is only 6 km long from 0. So it should be 7 km to the right of 0 right?

Ok, excellent work on explaining how to draw a Vernier scale for liniar measurements. Can you, please, present a method to draw on paper a Vernier scale with, let's say, a 5 minutes or even better - a 30 seconds division? After all, somebody in engineering school has to be able to design and build a protractor with a fine Vernier scale instead of going out to buy it. Also, it would be a good chance to present how todraw and build a protractor in radians with a Vernier scale in milliradians. Thanks for the effort and hope to help some people.
