Thank you for not using any music on this video! Too many jewelry youtubers use horrible music on their videos and it ruins it. Good job.
The sounds of the build are essential 👌
Just listen on mute also it’s probably bc copyright problems that they can’t play good songs
beautiful little sword. Here's a question: gold is so expensive per oz that the nugget you started with is probably worth at least $800-1200; even at 12oz of purity. There was so much gold dust flaking off from the cutting process, so it's important to have a "trapping" chamber, a small metal chamber on your workbench to capture the gold dust, rather than it falling to the floor. Thanks so much for this video.
almost all Goldsmith workshops design their workspace with a dust trap or with the addition of a vacuum cleaner, small dust will build up over time and the dust will be reprocessed into gold bars, so Goldsmith professionals have nothing to lose their gold project
@@AnifG wow i just know that, thanks for the info!
@@AnifG was that pure gold? It looked like 10 or 14k
@@overtheatlas the description says 12k
@@yourshoulderdevil5229 Thanks mate, didn't read it lol.

its art
You manipulate gold like it is putty. Incredible talent!
The gold nugget would of been an amazing pendant.
That is insane, definitely makes for an awesome letter opener. You should consider making a small sheathe for the sword. I think it would look badass.
Ha Plot

You are a master craftsmen.. I love watching you work. Thanks.

Definitely did an amazing job and you are extremely talented.. the "Prospector" in me is sad that you melted such a beautiful natural gold nugget lol Great little sword though! 👍🙂
A true craftsman, very solid work!
Your craftsmanship is truly inspiring. I used to make coin rings, and your videos have inspired me to try and get into full blown jewelry as a hobby! What is that device that you use to stretch and thin down the bullion called?
Rolling mill machine or jewelry laminator
I been thinking of making jewelry.
Need a list. During the summer here in Alaska. Get my own gold. During the harsh winter. I need something to do

Such a small sword is needed by a small warrior for battles 😂 the work is excellent 👍
There are many bladesmiths that don't know that a good blade shouldn't have a round handle whereas you, as a goldsmith, have outperformed them. Thanks for the great surprise. I hope for the continuation of your great works.
Beautiful craftsmanship , great ideas for stabilizing piece while working on it 👍

Hi do you have any tips to prevent causing stress cracks and fissures when milling the metal flat with the rolling mill? Thanks
Yes. Anneal the metal. Make sure you heat up periodically enough and turn it bright red (but don't melt it). This trick not only works to prevent stress cracks and fissures but also makes the metal more pliable and easy to work with. Use it whenever you want to make the metal softer/easier to manipulate.
enough heat applied beforehand keeps is malleable, yet firm enough to not mold to the rollers. Be sure not to squeeze it in large increments, though,
what a nice looking toothpick!
Hermosa ,Espada 👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍🖤🖤🖤🖤🤘🍺🍺
