Thanks for the info. I get my irrigation water from a canal and it’s high in sodium. I also have heavy clay soil so growing conditions are tough no matter how much I amend the soil. These seem to be it!
Deer are eating my emerald green arborvitaes. Going to replace them in the spring. I have 21 feet length by 7.5 wide space I need to fill with a natrual privacy fence. What species of juniper(s) would you recommend? Preferably 25 feet max height no lower than 20 as I have an elevated deck and like to maintain privacy while on the deck.
@@joshgage5552 You are most likely a owner of Spartan juniper. Please ,tell me ,are they too unsteady when they grow big ? Some grower on other video said that they lean readily when the ground is overly soaked with water and need stakes. I cannot put stakes on a fully grown Spartan ,for the sight will become ugly. I am so hopeless about these kind of junupers ,I planted 4 ot them ....
@@joemilton7552 No ,I liked so much these SPARTAN junipers !!! I am not sure if they will fall down when grow bigger on a wet ground. They grow well with a little watering and I think to plant even new ones. No one knows how high and wide they become ,some say they will reach a maximal height of even 5 or 6 meters ,others say they will reach a maximal height of only 2 meters ,but the time will show ,how tall and wide will become when fully grown. Anyway ,they are such handsome trees !!! A so wonderful sight to behold !!!

Can these grow in the AZ dessert?
Exactly what I was looking for, plant them four feet on center for screening!
What is growth rate? Zone 9
Do they live long?
These don't grow 30 feet she's lost her mind. 15 ft maybe 20 tops.
Are they deer resistant ?
Yes
