I made this video for people wanting to know how to put ads on their TH-cam videos properly. I've learned a lot about how to make money on my TH-cam channel over the 3 years I've been on here so I want to give that knowledge back to you.
By changing my TH-cam ads strategy in 2019, I was able to make $8,000 more than I did in 2018. I learned how TH-cam ads work and was able to place them correctly on my videos to maximise how much money I made per thousand views.

Thanks for the advice. I’ve recently started making money with my channel and am wondering the best way to optimize my ad.
I let TH-cam choose the placement and number of ads for the past 2 years and it works great for me. Yes, it adds a lot of ad breaks, but the viewers won't be served all those ads, only one or two of them in a 45-minute video (maybe three). But I let TH-cam decide when to do it, based on the algorithm's calculations, and I never had a problem so far. You will never get the placement better than the algorithm.

Hi, I'm a little confused: Shouldn't you have had more videos by 2019 than by 2018, and therefore, you revenue is supposed to be higher each year if not by much? Very helpful video tho, thanks very much!

I just got monetised myself and I don’t know if I wanna turn off skippable ads. If I turn that off people will not be able to skip my ads and that will give more money right?
Coma I would leave everything on. Non-skippable ads don’t get shown by TH-cam much, so you’ll just be losing out on money from skippable ads that could have been shown

This is pretty good considering most people have adblock now. Now is not the time to be a TH-camr unless you can get corporate sponsorships.

Vast majority of TH-cam content is not worth watching more than 2 ads at the very most.
